Music
I enjoy all kinds of music...but in the end, in answer to Mrs. Mia Wallace (from the deleted scene in PULP FICTION): "I'm an Elvis man, sweetie." Other favorite artists include AC/DC, Rob Zombie, Godsmack, Evanescence, America, Metallica, Anita Baker, Johnny Cash, Sade, Diana Krall, Gravity Kills, Keiko Matsui, Quiet Riot, The Bee Gees, Disturbed, Roy Orbison, ABBA, and Chuck Berry, among quite a few others.
Movies
You honestly haven't seen a movie until you've seen GRINDHOUSE, specifically PLANET TERROR and DEATH PROOF! The only grindhouse movies I've seen before that, though, are FIVE FINGERS OF DEATH, Rob Zombie's HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and THE DEVIL'S REJECTS, the STREET FIGHTER and SISTER STREET FIGHTER films, and THE SEVENTH CURSE, an '86 film from Hong Kong starring Chow Yun-Fat. Among my favorite films: SIN CITY, HARD BOILED, SERENITY, FIST OF LEGEND, the EVIL DEAD films, HELLBOY,TRANSFORMERS, JAWS, ENTER THE DRAGON, 300, AIRPLANE I and II, NINJA SCROLL, THE WARRIORS, the ORIGINAL STAR WARS trilogy, FINAL FANTASY VII: ADVENT CHILDREN, OLDBOY, SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE, SILENT HILL, APPLESEED, SCARFACE, KUNG-FU HUSTLE, HERO, Robert Rodriguez' trilogy of EL MARIACHI, DESPERADO and ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO, DISTRICT B13, HARD CANDY, THE CROW (only the Brandon Lee original!), RESIDENT EVIL and RE: APOCALYPSE, SUKEBAN DEKA I and II,PROJECT A, ULTRAVIOLET (the unrated version!), DRAGONS FOREVER, LADY SNOWBLOOD, THE LONGEST DAY, SE7EN, SNAKES ON A PLANE, PREDATOR, FIGHT CLUB,PULP FICTION, BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE, THE HEROIC TRIO and THE EXECUTIONERS, SHANGHAI EXPRESS, THE PRODIGAL SON, THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD, THE MATRIX (and I'm not including its sequels), RETURNER, KILL BILL I and II, BACK TO SCHOOL, D.E.B.S., CATS & DOGS, AKIRA, GHOST IN THE SHELL, PERFECT BLUE, THE GODFATHER (the second was good, the third barely okay), LA FEMME NIKITA, CLERKS I and II, SHOGUN ASSASSIN, SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHERIFF!, PATRIOT GAMES, DARK COMMAND, EQUILIBRIUM,FULL CONTACT, DONNIE DARKO, HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS, 28 DAYS LATER, any film starring Yukari Oshima and/or Moon Lee, CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON, THE RING I and II and RINGU, STAGECOACH,DIRTY HARRY, MY LIFE AS A DOG, MAGNIFICENT WARRIORS, VAMPIRE EFFECT, ENEMY OF THE STATE, THE KILLER, A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS and FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE, OPERATION CONDOR, THE RUNDOWN, and CHICKEN LITTLE, to name a few. Yes, I said CHICKEN LITTLE! You got a problem with that? And of course, I've seen The Lord of the Rings and its sequels...like I told a friend, though, saying that trilogy is great is like saying the sky is blue! ;)And no, I CANNOT take credit for that! But my current favorite that rises above (nearly) all the films listed just now is AZUMI, probably the best swordplay film I've ever seen and one of the best action movies of all time. My merely hearing about this film years before inspired me in the creation of HELL KNIGHT, and to watch this film will change your mind forever about whether teenaged girls can carry samurai swords or not!
Television
Not much...the main reason I turn on the TV these days is to watch a DVD or play video games. (FIREFLY, HAPPY DAYS, MORK AND MINDY, CSI:NY, LAW & ORDER, and PROFIT are among my few favorite shows.) I've seen a fair share of anime, too...my favorites there include BURST ANGEL, ERGO PROXY, GHOST IN THE SHELL: SAC, SAMURAI GIRL: REALBOUT HIGH SCHOOL, STEEL ANGEL KURUMI, and TRIGUN.
I'm a PlayStation geek, and entire game series are among my favorite games. My favorite series include (but as you'll see not limited to Sony's consoles): DEVIL MAY CRY,
RESIDENT EVIL, DOOM, FINAL FANTASY, HALO, HALF LIFE, SILENT HILL, ONIMUSHA, GRAND THEFT AUTO, ACE COMBAT, GOD OF WAR, BALDUR'S GATE: DARK ALLIANCE, SSX, TWISTED METAL, PARASITE EVE,DINO CRISIS, DYNASTY WARRIORS, SAMURAI WARRIORS, NEED FOR SPEED, ZONE OF THE ENDERS, KESSEN, RAINBOW SIX, TOMB RAIDER, TEKKEN, FEAR EFFECT, MAX PAYNE, PRINCE OF PERSIA, RATCHET AND CLANK, JAK AND DAXTER (later just plain JAK), TONY HAWK'S PRO SKATER...damn, I'd go on, but I'd need another page! My favorites among those series: DEVIL MAY CRY 3, RESIDENT EVIL 2 AND 4, DOOM and DOOM 3 (including RESURRECTION OF EVIL), FINAL FANTASY VI, VII, VIII, X, and X-2, HALO 2, HALF LIFE 2, SILENT HILL 3,
ONIMUSHA: WARLORDS and DAWN OF DREAMS, GTA: SAN ANDREAS, ACE COMBAT 5, SSX TRICKY and 3, TWISTED METAL 2 and TM: BLACK,
NEED FOR SPEED HOT PURSUIT 2 and MOST WANTED, the original PC RAINBOW SIX, TOMB RAIDER 2 and LEGEND, TEKKEN 3 and 5, and...jeez, I'd better stop now! (And I haven't even included the games that aren't part of a series!)
And this may come as a shock to some of you, but I also read manga!
Calm down! I haven't been able to get into it a great deal, like anime (For one thing, I don't have the budget to get every Dragon Ball book!), but I've got a few favorites in manga, too!

My name is Charles, and this will soon become the place where you can find out everything you need to know about my independent novel, HELL KNIGHT!
HELL KNIGHT is a fantasy-horror novel for mature readers only.
See the first three chapters for HELL KNIGHT here: http://www.geocities.com/hellknightnovel/index.html
The setting of HELL KNIGHT is in the heart of a nation known by its citizens as God's Country.
The United States of America.
It is in the heart of this nation a secret war
is about to explode between the mortal
and the immortal...
At the core of the conflict is a warrior who will
come from the shadows...from a realm of
indescribable, unspeakable nightmares.
A realm where only evil reigns.
And she can make many things possible.
Her mission will be unknowable to the mortal world, but she will
have mortals serve her. They will be her army...
they will kill and die for her.
Her enemies are equally mysterious in their purpose,
but they are monstrous. Vile beyond belief.
And they are legion.
This much the world will know...
By the sharp blades of her swords,
she will make blood flow like a river.
But a detective in the heart of God's Country,
haunted by her past, will become obsessed to
understand the truth. Understand why the bloody
chaos is happening.
The truth will be beyond anything she can imagine.
It is a truth that threatens to change everything.
The truth will force a mortal detective to follow
a relentless, ruthless warrior from another
realm into the darkest of shadows.
Both will find an unexpected, shared destiny.
But in the end, only this warrior from another realm
can do everything in her unworldly power to deny
the change her enemies threaten to bring.
She will become the only hope for the mortal world...
in spite of one extraordinary fact.
She came from Hell.
She is the Hell Knight.
Hell Knight is now available at www.lulu.com in paperback and as an eBook. The following are the URLs where you can order the novel at Lulu!
Yeah, boredom can be enough to kill you. Good thing there's dvds. ^_^ I just watched the movie Kamikaze Girls. It was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time and the two main characters were HOT beyond words.
The last movie I remember seeing Shinobu in was called Tannka. It was about some woman who was torn between two dudes. It wasn't too great. She only had a small part in it. Vegas would b the best! I'd hit up the Star Trek Experience for sure. Have any plnas for the weekend?
Yeah buddy!
Happy Veteran's Day. But Halloween's still my favorite!
Oh man, Yumiko! I may have to sit down and watch that one just for her gorgeous presence. I watched a few minutes of one that had Jet Li's beautiful g/f from Fist of Legend. I've never been a Gojira fan. My mom and one of my best friends are all about it though. I read that a 21 year old, the youngest champion ever, won that tournament. Something like close to 9 million he won. I'd sure love to learn poker and hit up Vegas sometime. Booooo, that Ami pic didn't show. Oh well, Hopefully these will be a bright part of your day.
Yeah, let's hope this country finally wisens up and does justice right with this guy.
Ironside is one of those great actors I feel never got his true respect in the industry. Almost always playing a bad guy he is infinitely better than so many other lame actors out ther like Keanu Reeves or Jack Black, yet they get all the attention. Scanners and Highalnder 2 are two of my favs. from him.
I like your idea of "fruit for thought". ^_^
How was your Monday this time 'round? Mine was horrible, terrible, the usual. :)
Man, that's horrible what happened in Fort Hood today. I'm so glad they killed that sicko and hope the reasoning behind it is uncovered.
Yeah, I do agree with you on your assertion of the new V. I do indeed miss Mike Donavan and Ham Tyler and the whole red uniform, Nazi thing being absent is sad. Like you said, hopefully it will indeed pick up. It's cool that they already have the "5th Column" resistance within the Visitors already though.
Are you talking about the girl with the luggage? I can't see if she has red eyes or not. I don't think she's cosplaying as anyone, just a Goth Lolita. She looks GREAT nonetheless. I'll have lots of pics for you when I get back from Nekocon on Sunday. Have a good weekend since I won't be online for a few days.
Yeah, the 5 part, two miniseries was great and all but the tv series that followed blew big time. I watched the new one last night and it was pretty good. Morena did well in following in Badler's footsteps. It also had a few things I wasn't expecting with some of the characters. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't have their original red uniforms and the voices were human unlike in the original where they reverberated. Did you get the chance to see it?
I love my Inara/Anna.
And as long as they are of age, we're not warped, just horny. ^_^
I love the Charmed girls, especially Rose. I've never been a fan of Shannon, though I'd jump off the Empire State Building before I kicked her out of bed. ^_^
Well, hopefully you had a bit of fun with whatever you may have done. The weather here turned out to be great last night but we're paying or it today. It's been cold and rainy all morning.
Oh man, I would have let Victoria be my school "Principal" any time back in the day. I just saw some "unedited" shots of her. Heartbreaking!
Oh wow, I had no idea that Ham had a cameo in the movie. I may have to re watch it sometime on dvd to see if I spot him. That is awesome that they gave him enough respect to give him a bit of screen time. Decided what you're gonna do tonight? Have fun with whatever you choose buddy.
Perrine was indeed a babe, but so were my favs. back in the day.
lol file front basicly hosts bilions of gaming fioles dude, lucaly i uploaded that XP patch to it! it has to run in 256 color mode i beleave but ive included the instructions to install it! lol its like a 14 step prossess... lol (one reason why p re orded Command and Conquer 3 was to get the instructions on how to play dawn on XP) lol but once ya get it up id still reccoment saving evert 10 minutes... Red Alert 2 IS GLITTCHY AND TENDS TO FREEZE EVER 5-10 MINUTES!!! But TIberian Sun and Firestorm wworks FINE! Ive not tried Red Alert1 yet but if you want i can hook you up with Rel Alert 3 Uprising downloadable Stand Alone Expansion!
That ones cool but you can only play challenges and scrimmish and a 3 mission campagin mode, for me on basic DSL it took about 4 hours to install but well worth it! What i like about it is even a dolt can play lol they got a ? mark on units giving a video on unit attack and ability!
well if ya figure out compatability and all it runs well not good but well enough, oh check around File Front, i think there is an XP patch for Dawn...
I spoke with some friends last night and we're going to the Va. Commicon in Richmond on Nov. the 22nd. I'm not big into American comics but it's a day away and Larry Hama is gonna be there. He created G.I. Joe and I absolutely loved that comic as a kid.
You're not kidding about the disastrous Superman 3 and 4. They were so terrible and how the hell did the makers not see what utter s--t they were making.
At least the third one gave us Pamela Stephenson to gawk at.
Yep, almost the weekend and Halloween time!
More kill-everyone-I-know-to-get-my-hands-on sexy Rukia cosplay.
