About HELLMAN RECORDS STREET TEAM

The concept of Hellman Records was devised at Sydney's Gaelic Club over a few beers on a hot and balmy Saturday evening in December 2007. On a night that saw the succesful return to the stage for legendary Aussie rockers "The Hitmen" it was the performance of support act "The Lazys" that was the catalyst for turning one mans dream into a reality. The good old fashioned "in your face" rock n roll attitude of The Lazys was a refreshing change for a man who had become tired of the lack of support for local acts shown by mainstream media and the garbage being force fed to listeners on commercial radio (take a bow Britney and Paris haha!). Since that night Hellman Records has set about providing opportunities for local acts to have their music heard. Armed with fresh ideas and plenty of attitude Hellman Records released their inaguaral album on the 31st May 2008 - the aptly titled "Get Somewhere" by Sydney based rockers Gethsemane. Most recently Hellman Records has teamed up with Sutherland Shire metal outfit The Julius Set and Newcastle based country rock crooner Troy Kemp. Hellman Records is all about keeping the dream alive!
