HelloGeiger are Sue, Geoff, Tom and Mike. Fused together like a musical jammy dodger, they met in 2006 in a bar near their London homes. The morning after, sober, they realised they had formed a band.
Comprising three parts Welsh and one part English, they have developed a sound that mixes old with new, draws on edgy indie, dabbles with harmonic rock but always sounds fresh and exciting - imagine Karen O and Debbie Harry in a bitch fight with the Pixies egging them on. Geiger's tunes are glued together with soaring vocal harmonies, running bass lines and thunderous drumming. Their lyrics are about life, love and fossil fuels and all share the belief that a band should f**kin rock live.
This mantra has been road tested and exemplified in riotous London gigs and across the UK including The Notting Hill Arts Club, Camden Barfly, The Spitz and a ten date UK tour.
HelloGeiger have also gained recent kudos by winning the XFM unsigned band competition and they have created much publicity by doing a "Beastie Boys!" - only Hello Geiger got there first! The band made a video shot by fans, using only mobile phones, supplied by the 3 network. Showcasing the band's talent, this raw and live experience can be found on myspace.com/hellogeiger, youtube.com and recently received much deserved recognition with a playlist from the number 1 rock music channel Kerrang TV!
Get on board...
Lightning does strike more than once!!
On-line webzine, record label and promoter, High Voltage, have given the Geiger's first demo an impressive four out of five.
These are not light-weight gold stars either, hell no - we're talking about four lightning bolts out of five here people! Glorious blasts of cloud based anger. And how often do you hear about lightning striking more than once? Exactly...
"Surf-pop tunes combine with driving punk rhythms to create something very exciting indeed. Keep a watchful eye on these." How could we disagree... check out the full review here.
Hello Geiger did it, now the Beastie Boys have followed suit...
This is what happens when you play a gig, give 15 of your fans some phones supplied by 3, and then tell everyone in the room to film one of your tracks.
This is the video for Value of Money (filmed on mobile phones for kicks).

Mama Shamone – THESE GUYS AREN’T PLAYING LIVE (except one acoustic) EXCEPT AT GLASTO FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR! http://www. myspace. com/mamashamone “Put Mama Shamone on at any venue and they are likely to take the roof off, this was one of the best live shows I’ve seen in years - certainly one of the best in London. In my opinion these guys are destined for greatness, it felt like I was witnessing history being shaped-something was just so right about what they were doing up there.” Vibe Bar
We Yes You No www. myspace. com/weyesyouno “We Yes You No sing about the end of the world, the end of everything. But in an apocalypse that would sound like this I would buy god’s last EP” – Big City Redneck
Language http://www. myspace. com/languageuk “"The verbosity of funk, the poetic twang of intelligent pop. The bridge between Franz Ferdinand and Smashing Pumpkins perhaps" – Bugbear
so sorry about that I must have told you the bad one.
That's funny because I tried that one a while ago too, the one I gave you, and it made me all angry because they sucked really bad, and they didn't pay too good either they gavelike free samples and stuff instead of cash.
But well, the right site is
S T E P 4 5 . C O M
it's the one I am pulling in $600 a week with putting in about 28 hours a week, at times up to like 35 hours if I'm bored.
Once you get your login make sure you register with with the companies on page one in the private area because they are the ones that pay the most, I got $60 for one that took me 30 minutes today. You'll see what I'm talking about when you start up.
Tammy started taking them too and she's cashing $700 a week, it's making me so jealous because I'm the one that sinformed her which one to subscribe with now she's making much more than me.
So me and Paul are getting prepared to leave, just give me a call or I'll meet you on here and let me know if you have any problems. catcha later
Entry is £5 and we're onstage at 10 (doors 8-1.30).
In the meantime, visit our profile to hear a 1 minute clip of new song "Gregory and the Birds", produced by Gareth Parton (Foals / Kills / Go! Team). We can pretty much guarantee you'll hear all of it at the gig...
