our special tour edition celebrating our short but very excellent tour of Malaysia and Singapore. 'Fight Songs' collects all our recorded output to date ('5:44', '7:31' + 'Soldier Dub') as well as one new piece ('Red Star Dub') and a single edit of '7:31' done by Sweden's Library Tapes. this CD was housed in a slim handsewn fabric case with a cardboard wrap around and insert.

this young Australian sound artist has produced a number of works over the last two years with his album 'Fluere' recieving glowing praise from THE WIRE as well as playing shows with Steinbruchel and Tim Hecker amongst others. this record fully realises a layered approach to deep listening with processed keyboards and field recordings, both of which were explored individually on his last release 'Float' and the aformentioned 'Fluere'.

hellosQuare cannot be more proud to bring you this split 3" release by two of our favourite artists - Seaworthy and M. Rösner. with releases on labels like 12k and Room40, these two Australian artists have brought to the world a very unique take on sound art and melodic improvisation, providing warmth and space to what can be a clinical artform from time to time. This split 3" also features Seaworthy's first contribution to hellosQuare - 'The Moment Everyone Goes Quiet' from 'Pins + Needles'.

Mike Cooper is a improvising legend - full stop! starting off as a blues guitarist in England back in the 60's, his work from then onwards has taken in everything from electronic sound to lounge and hawaiian musics. 'Keoni' is a live work that crackles and hisses along with guitar loops weaving in and out.

in anticipation of Spartak's debut album, hellosQuare are releasing a limited edition single featuring the pulsey drone rock of 'Sunstrokes' with a special recording from the album sessions and remixes by Part Timer (Moteer, Flau), Cleptoclectics (Feral Media) and Tomasz Bednarczyk (Room40).

the debut album for this Canberra duo featuring Shoeb Ahmad and Evan Dorrian is also hellosQuare's first on CD. this seven track album spans an emotional landscape that encompasses violence and calm, sleep and tension in a genuine collision of melted jazz, microtonal exploration and post punk attitude. 'tales...' was concieved after the spartak malaysia/singapore tour in january/february 2008 while being mastered by Taylor Deupree of 12k fame.
