The Rubber Room presents a Night of Crazed, Derranged, Psychotic and downright Degenerate Halloween Spookiness.

We will be dressing the room up and projecting vintage monster edits through the night as well as spinning some of the strangest and most disturbed 45s in our collections. Alongside the usual mix of blues stompers, rockabilly, sixties garage and frat, surf instros and rock'n'roll.

    Hope you can make it!

The Maze, Forest Tavern, Mansfield Road, Nottingham.

a Oscar Wilde once stated that “I always like to know everything about my new friends, and nothing about my old ones”. Of course there is a waspish humour within such a remark but it also focuses upon one of life’s great delights: New stuff. New stuff. Whether it’s a relationship or a pair of socks or a delicious, shimmering piece of Youreyeslie gorgeousness you can’t quite beat the chemical high that stems from beholding something new, surprising and unknown. The website has been updated with nothing but newness. So head to youreyeslie.com and take a wander through our cyber-Parthenon, exulting in the awe inspiring, humanity-affirming creations of the Youreyeslie design team. And then, once you’ve satiated your eyes make a couple of courageous clicks and take a little piece of the museum home with you.

    * THE UK'S NO. 1 ROCKABILLY BAND JACK RABBIT SLIM LIVE *
This band are the kings of sleazy rock'n'roll, take the raw urgency of Johnny Burnette Trio, the savage sounds of Link Wray and raise it on a diet of low budget b-movies, sexploitation flicks and juvenile delinquency and you almost have it.

We wanted them to play at our 3rd birthday party last year but they were booked 6 months up in advance so we had to wait our turn for the sleazy sounds! Be sure you don't miss this one!

As well as the band we will be spinning the usual blend of rockn'roll / garage / frat / surf instrumentals / r'n'b and other oddballs that seem to fit the night.

    DJ's Martin Lawrie, Nick Smith

Please forward this to your friends!
