Formed during the last days of the 20th century by guitarist and singer Willie Dynamite, TSUNAMI took of right from the start. The band recorded their first rehearsal and released it as an EP! With no overdubs exept vocals and an ocational tambourine the 10 inch vinyl record contained 3 barebone hard rock numbers and a long psychedelic jam. The band started out as; Willie Dynamite - guitar/vocals; Daniel "Quaker Cowboy" Collett - drums, and Anders Salomon Lidal on bass

Finding the right drummer... After Daniel moved out of town, TSUNAMI rehearsed with a string of new drummers; Johan Gadler from Generous Maria; Erik Lillehagen from Loophole and finally JIP. JIP stayed with the band for more than a year, but left in 2002. Taking over the chair for the mighty mr. Rock was Bjarne Stensli from Dharma (now Harrys Gym). Bjarne stayed a year with Tsunami before Tore Kristian Lie (Sigh and Explode) took over. Tore Kristian has now left us after years of delicious grooves and back in the saddle is – yes that’s right – the Quaker Cowboy!
