Hellovon is the studio run by London based illustrator Von. His work is heavily influenced by the world of music, fashion and design and executed with a seamless blend of traditional and digital mark making techniques. The result being striking, seductive and insightful illustrations with subtle narratives and a delicate, ethereal quality.
Since establishing Hellovon in early 2006 his work has been exhibited internationally in the such prestigious venues as The London Design Museum and he has had solo shows in Paris,London and New York. He has also built a client list which includes 4AD, Ogilvy and Mather, Non-Format, Dazed
and Confused, Wallpaper, The New York Times and The Guardian.
Throughout 2007 Von garnered much international press for both his illustration and gallery work and was listed in Grafik Magazine's Best of 2007 Issue as one of the illustrators of the year. He will also be showcased in this year's European Annual from the prestigious PRINT magazine as one of the most notable contemporary practitioners in the field.
"No designer represents the rising-tide graphic design strategy of commingling traditional drawing and digital technique more than London's Hellovon" Ami Kealoha (www.coolhunting.com)
"Von has been a pleasure to work with. He is organised, disciplined and clearly a creative soul whom I am certain will carry a groundbreaking aesthetic flag far into the future. It's fascinating to see such seriousness of intent conveyed through the most excessively elegant expressions of vision." Zoe Coombes (Commonwealth / Espeis Architype Gallery)
"Good old craftmanship developed and transformed into surprising, cool and contemporary compositions." Kjell Ekhorn (Non-Format)

Nothing new to the world of the net but I have decided to launch a blog inorder to update my news section a 1000 times faster than on my site and to publish links of both a professional and personal interest.
Taiwanese design magazine XFUNS have featured a small number of designers and illustrators showcasing their work on the themes of "First Time" and "New Year" including the likes of Peepshow's Andrew Rae and the KDU's David Gensler.
HELLOVON AT ESPEIS GALLERY - NEW YORK SOLO SHOW
October 20th - November 15th 2007.
Espeis Gallery is pleased to present a series of large-scale original drawings, and smaller-scale limited prints by London-based artist, Hellovon. New Yorkers have been graced with Hellovon’s immaculate illustrations of political figures and others in the New York Times Sunday magazine. For the first time, his large scale, original work will be presented in NYC in its original state. Hellovon’s body of work can be perhaps best described as a seamless blend of traditional and digital marks. Heavily influenced by music and fashion, Von produces subtle narratives with a delicate, ethereal quality.
Since establishing Hellovon at the start of 2006, his work has been exhibited internationally and is now on permanent exhibition at Both StolenSpace and Cosh galleries in London.
The very special and limited collaborative print between Hellovon and Non-Format that was created exclusively for the show was a sell out.
Batfinks - Towards the Pipette is the latest release in the LOAF series from Lo Recording. I was commissioned by Non-Format to provide the art print for the limited edition 12" version of the release. The print and CD are then put in a bag, attached to a 12" pulp board so that Non-Format can screen print directly over the entire thing in one of their signature fonts to create the latest in their award winning LOAF design series.
