Hellsongs saw the light of day in 2004. They kickstarted their career as a band by playing a gig in a barn in the countryside of Gothenburg, Sweden. The three piece band rehearsed and arranged three songs and got cosmic response from the audience. Cheers and suggestions of new songs kept coming during the night and next show lurked around the corner.
In late 2005 Hellsongs received a lot of airplay as Swedish media discovered the band through the epic version of “Run to the Hills”. This track and five more were recorded and released as the “Lounge EP” in 2006. During the following year Hellsongs started to build a reputation as an impressive live act and toured the Scandinavian countries heavily.
In 2008 the Hellsingers released their full length debut "Hymns in the key of 666" in most countries around the world. It received fantastic critics from both metal fans and pop kids. The band was nominated for the German Critics Award as well as the Swedish Grammy Award, and several successful tours in Europe during 2008 and 2009 followed.
In September and October 2009 Hellsongs will do yet another tour around Europe, release their new EP "Pieces of Heaven, a Glimpse of Hell" and on top of this release their first album in the USA. Happy days!
