HELLSTOMPERS started in 1998 in Ivanovo-city, Russia. At the beginning they were: Sergey “Yozh" Pavlov (vocal, guitar), Vyacheslav "Expert" Arhipov (bass, back vocals) and Kirill "Kirya" Mariganov (drums). From the very beginning the group has chosen the hard psychobilly. For years of the existence the group has played in many clubs in Russia. In Russia HELLSTOMPERS have organized psychofestivals « Hellfire Fest » on which there came psychobands not only from Russia, but also from other countries. They played with such bands as The Meteors, Astro Zombies, Mad Sin,Banane Metalik, Klingonz, Grave Stompers, The Meantraitors and others.
The first album in 2007!
In the middle of 2008 the band part with first bass-guitar player, then term musician come to take his place, the band collaborate with him for the next half of the year. After that Hellstompers decided to change their musical concept, replacing bass-guiter by double bass, in that way realizing their bygone decision. Thus new double-bass player Nikolai Kurazhev (ex Bike & Hollers) and new singer Sergei Shumarin came to the band.
At that moment Hellstompers are: Sergei Pavlov – guitar, back vocals, Kirill Mariganov – drums, Nikolai Kurazhev - double-bass and Sergei Shumarin – vocal.
