| Genel | I like drinking, singing karaoke, perfecting a fashion aesthetic I call "Jaunty Pussy", and following through on ridiculous projects conceived in moments of whimsy. Can I just say that two years ago I totally predicted the 1960s mod turn in winter '07 high-street fashion, and also that it's shit and hardly looks good on anyone. My favourite games to play with people are: "Would You Call Your Child", "Would You Wear A T-Shirt That Says" and "Would You Be In A Band Called". Mine is the rage of the righteous. When asked how I am, I usually reply: "Not too shabby."
 | | Müzik | Lately I have been worried that I am not interested enough in new music. Of course I listen to the latest homie hits courtesy of my officemates, and AWESOME POWER ROCK FOREVZ YO. But right now I am listening to the dancepop of 1990-2000. Many people dismiss this music as disposable crap but I feel that there is something intriguing and valuable about the feeling that it creates, and it is yet another musical dream of mine to be in a band that does acoustic versions of these songs. I am particularly jonesing to perform "Wrap Me Up" by Alex Party in this way. I have also coined a genre (soon to be immortalised on a mixtape) called ROBOT LOVE. You might go, "Aw shit Rosie, that is just 80s electro and things it subsequently influenced". And you would kinda be right there. HOWEVER. What draws me to Robot Love is its paradoxical blend of organic and machinic qualities. It speaks of intense emotional connection in an emotionally detached way. I think the key Robot Love lyric is from "Saturdays" by Cut Copy (Bright Like Neon Love is a brilliant Eurodisco/Madchester pastiche) - "There is a feeling in me, and I don't know why". |

Rosie Ne Diyor? |
Hakkımda:
Born in Melbourne, Australia, I grew up riding my bike without a helmet, feeling the breeze in my hair. Then that darn government made helmet wearing compulsory. It still is. But you try telling that to fancy-free young urbanites. So in the interest of safeguarding the well-coiffed craniums of my generation, I decided to launch a community service project… Helmets for Hipsters. The ridiculous results are here. Although I throw up my hands, I really do.

Kimle tanışmak isterim:
People who are into pouring time and intellectual effort into gloriously farcical creative endeavours. I am deadly serious about very silly projects. EXCUSE ME I WISH TO FORM A BAND with gifted musicians who are willing to take my existing filthy rap persona and inject it with Awesome Power Rock.
