Brian Shaffer is a 27 year old medical student at Ohio State University (OSU). On the night of Friday, March 31st 2006; Brian went out with friends to have a few drinks and celebrate the beginning of Spring break 2006; it was his 'time out with the guys'. At around 9:30pm, the men headed to the Ugly Tuna Saloona, a bar located near the OSU campus. At 9:56pm, Brian called Alexis -his girlfriend- who at the time was visiting her family in Toledo, OH. He told her he loved her and that he would see her when she came back to Columbus; the two had planned on taking a vacation to Miami and were schedule to leave to Florida on Monday, April 3rd. Shortly after talking to Alexis, Brian and his friend walked down to the Arena District in Columbus, OH; they stopped at the North Short tavern and then went to Brother's, where they met with other friends. One of the friends drove them back to the Ugly Tuna Saloona, where they are seen in the surveillance tape at 1:15 am. The next time Brian is seen on cameras, he was outside of the Ugly Tuna, at the top of the escalator, talking with two girls; he appears to say 'bye' and turns towards the bar, he then disappears from the camera's view; we have not seen him since.

Who I'd like to meet: I would like to correspond online with other people who are interested and passionate about helping the case of Brian Shaffer come to a close for the sake of the family.
I am not related to Brian Shaffer, but I am someone who cares deeply about him and his family and would like to see more media coverage about Brian's story until he comes home.
April 1st, 2008, will be the two-year anniversary of Brian’s disappearance.
Originally there was some coverage in the media after he went missing. But as with most missing person cases, the media could not continue to cover the same story repeatedly.
However just because the media talked about Brian less, the people who knew his story would not forget about him, his girlfriend Alexis, or his family. The online blogs continued to show messages of support from people around the world who sympathized and prayed for them. These posts still continue to this day. I want the family to have the answers they deserve and I feel that as a group of people who care, we have the power to persuade the media to cover this story until the police get the answers they need so the family can have the peace they deserve. So please be creative and open your mind... pass on your ideas on what we can do to create some coverage (post or email, whichever you feel more comfortable doing). I appreciate each and every response I get. If you do not have any ideas currently, but would like to stay updated and possibly help with upcoming ideas to help Brian, but click to add to the friends list. And remember... if we are committed, we can do anything!
There are many ways to spread the story of Brian Shaffer every single day in any area that you live in. You can print the flyers up yourself now and hang them in your car window, in your offices, by your house/ apartment, etc.
If you have time to help find Brian, I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart and look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

We want to raise awareness of all the missing we have in this country and to give the families the support, aid and information they need. So many of the missing must slip through the cracks with the only people knowing they are missing are their families.. You can almost hear them say 'Hey, I'm missig to, won't you help spread the word and find me'
