On April 17, 2008 Chris Gaffney passed away after his brief illness. His departure was quick and painless with the support of Our loving family by his side.
Celebrations of his life are in the works. Please check back for updates. Your continuous support and donations are greatly appreciated and still needed to offset the financial burden of his medical care. From our family to yours, much love.
In February the Hacienda Brothers finished recording
their brand new CD titled Arizona Motel featuring 14
tracks, 11 of which are originals. The CD will be
released nationally on June 24th but check back to
www.helpgaff.com to find out how you can get an advance copy
and help Gaff at the same time.
Your generosity, support and love is so overwhelming to our family. Your amazing gifts have lightened the burden in so many ways. The hospital stays, myriads of tests and procedures, and meds have been taken care of, thanks to all of you.
Chris started chemotherapy on Fri. Next week with or without insurance Chris will undergo a procedure called chemoembolization which will directly target the cancer with beads of chemo.
Thanks to all your prayers and well-wishes, Chris has his dukes up and is ready for a K.O.
We’ll keep you updated on his progress.
Chris Gaffney, lead singer of the Hacienda Brothers, has been diagnosed with liver cancer. This Myspace page is a companion to the main Help Gaff site, at www.helpgaff.com.
Chris will endure extreme chemotherapy for the remainder of this year. This drastic treatment option is costly, but necessary for him to stay alive. While Chris has insurance, it will only cover a fraction of his expenses. We need to raise at least $60,000 to cover the difference. Your contribution, no matter how large or small will ease the uncertainty and provide comfort and peace during this challenging time.
Who I'd like to meet: Please visit www.helpgaff.com for information on how you can help Chris out during this difficult time, or leave him a note. Any note left there will get to Chris. Thanks for helping Chris get back singing as soon as possible in a honky tonk near you.

I love you Julie ... xo...it was nice to finally give you a big hug! I had been wanting to for so long.
And I send a big hello to the gal who said hello to me and recognized me from here. I was so preoccupied that I didn't really get a chance to to say too much more than I would have liked.
The Memorial was so loving & full of the most warm hearted folks, and that is because it was a room full of Gaff's family and friends.
You are missed Gaff...you live on in our hearts forever. xo
Did you see that video clip of Chris Gaffney joining Smelley Kelley of Red Meat to sing "Take This Job and Shove It" that I posted to YouTube? It was from the Johnny Paycheck tribute show of March 19, 2003.
I've got some good news and some bad news.
The bad news is that I'll soon be removing that particular clip from YouTube.
The good news is that I've found some previously lost videotapes, so I've re-cut that particular clip, and will be posting MORE clips from that show as I get around to it.
I've got some great footage from that show of Chris Gaffney with Dave Gonzales before they formed the Hacienda Brothers. Here's a little preview of things to come...
Rather than giving you individual URLs for YouTube clips, I'll just share the URL for my YouTube channel, which will have footage from that show, as well as a lot of other really cool music you'll probably enjoy. Here's the place you'll want to go to see this stuff...
