A little about me: I love to be scratched, im the most loving, caring Poodle that God has put on this earth.
HERE IS MY STORY:

Hello.
I just found out today that My 4 pound poodle Sam has a shunt in his liver that never closed at birth, and if it is not fixed VERY soon he will start having seizures and eventually pass. Sam is only a year old and he is my very best friend.
I talked to the vet today and they can send him off to the University of Georgia to have the surgery, but it is going to cost 2500. Me being in college still and laid off from my job, I am struggling to pay for my own bills, and have no way of coming up with that kind of money to make my Sam better. We first found out that this was an issue when after six months of trips to the vet, he has only gained one ounce. He is extremely underweight and you can see every bone in his body. My little guy, he eats, but because the shunt is not closed off, the food goes directly through him. Causing him to not be able to gain any weight and he stays hungry.
I have got to find a way to come up with this money to get my best friend better, so he can eat and put on some weight, and so he will not start having seizures and leave me. The vets say we have to hurry and get it taken care of soon before the seizures start...
He is not just a dog, or a pet, Sam is my best friend. He lies in the bed at night with me and he will not go to sleep until he is lying on a pillow with his legs up in the air, he wants me to scratch his belly. He is so compassionate, today when I was on the phone with the vet getting the terrible news, I just cried....Sam got on my chest and started kissing me like "Why are you crying mommy? Don't cry, everything will be okay". Right then, I knew there had to be something I could do...He loves me just as much as I love him, and I cannot just let him go...........
If there is anything anyone can do to help me, I would greatly appreciate it, and Sam would too:(.)
I know many people do not see animals as important as people, but God sees Sam, just as he would any human, I know it. Sam is a miracle from God, there is no reason other than the fact that God loves Sam, that my best friend is still with me today. Miracles do come true, and I am asking to help my miracle stay here with me..
