- One in three homeless men in America are Veterans.

- Of all homeless Veterans, 42% are Vietnam Veterans

- Substance abuse rates are twice as high among Veterans as among non-veterans.

- According to the VA, One in Three Iraq/ Afghanistan Veterans suffers from PTSD.

- Army soldiers committed suicide last year at the highest rate in 26 years.

- Alcohol misuse has risen from 13% among soldiers to 21% one year after returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

- Troops with anger and aggression issues increased from 11% to 22% after serving in combat (Iraq/ Afghanistan).

- Divorce amongst troops rose from 9% to 15% after time spent in the combat zone (Iraq/ Afghanistan).

Azi Shea	Jul 7 2009 8:14 PM Can You Believe a Teenager Did This? There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed. It ' s quite an impressive sight. Be sure to scroll down and check out the multiple photos. (all angles) of the rock. I thought the flag was draped over the rock, but it ' s not. It ' s actually painted on the rock too.
