   About Help Stamp Out Loneliness
H.S.O.L. grew from a seed when old flatmates Colm McCrory and Bentley Cooke from twee band Language of Flowers decided to take a sabbatical from the drug fuelled ultra-violent world of C86 and start a lounge-gaze-krautpop band instead (whatever that is). They were soon joined by Ben Ambridge and Louise Winfield on drums and organ respectively and a little later by Katherine McMahon (piano) and finally D. Lucille Campbell (vocals). One big happy family, eh? Don't believe a word of it.

Read our hot to trot, hip as shit Blog - packed full of interesting behind-the-scenes chat and literally bursting with wry anecdotes about HSOL. Updated fairly irregularly and apart from being a vanity project for Bentley it's basically redundant in every sense of the word. Don't miss out, etc.

Our 2nd single 'Pacific Trash Vortex' was released on WIAIWYA on Saturday 16th May (on 7" blue vinyl!!) & is available from Piccadilly Records (UK) & Rough Trade (UK).

You can also order our debut 7" single Torvill & Dean (Limited to 300) through the Papillons Noirs website, Piccadilly Records (UK), Rough Trade (UK), Apple Crumble Records (JP), Hands And Arms (FR), SPC (UK) & Vollwert Records (GER). It is also available on digital download from Torvill & Dean

You can now buy our lovely green & white "Lonely Litterbug" and the brand new ecologically sound "Pacific Trash Vortex" t-shirts on eBay.

Oh and why don't you massage our egos even more by becoming a fan of H.S.O.L. on Facebook.

We're gonna be playing at Indietracks this year and we'll be helped out on stage by ex-Adult Net guitarist Craig Gannon.

Yeah, we edited our profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4, what the fuck are you gonna do about it?

The postman delivered your new single just now and I am soooo excited. I could play "cellophane" on an endless loop and never tire of it. That song keeps getting better and better.
"pacific trash vortex" isn't far behind though.
Ooh, and I love that gorgeous seashell cover. Fits the song like a glove !
You lot should be all over the radio, cause your songs spell like hits to me !

love love love

Obviously, i would have gotten on very well with a glam clam ;-) , but if it's actually a whelk and not a conch, I'm very relieved, of course. Just make sure you show the kids how to dance to it.
