All the comedians I have ever seen have left their mark. Having said that.... TV shows in the 50’s before it was taped and you got to see the comics improvise when the skit went awry, which was always my favorite part. Jonathan Winters, whom I hitched a ride through some nasty territory to see at a USO show he played in Vietnam while I was in the Army. Pryor who could paralyze me with laughter, an absolute genius. Bill Cosby, I memorized his bits and did them word for word for the kids in Jr. High, Too many others, Bill Hicks, of course like everyone in America, didnt discover him until he was no longer with us. I will add more later when my brain works better.Website

..
I am a stand up comic based in Seattle. I have been doing comedy just over 15 years and spend most of the year in the NW US and A. I like to talk with(not just AT) and involve people in the crowd, which gives each show a little different flavor and content. In comedy each audience requires a unique language and style. I love that every performance is different, it keeps me from getting bored telling the same jokes over and over.(I couldn’t do it- it would become like any other job if that was the case) I mostly talk about my experiences as a dad, a grandfather, a Vietnam Veteran and being a blue collar guy in a high tech world. Some political comedy sprinkled in here and there, but I try to refrain from sounding preachy. The best performances to me are the shows where 75%+ is improv. That to me is where the art form is in Stand-Up. My act is pretty much my bio.Influences

.. "Respect is due Seattle's living comedy legend--Heneghen. This man knows that the deepest and truest comedy comes from those moments when you just...don't...care...and you say exactly what's on your mind. Heneghen can channel that and deliver the goods on stage. What isn't immediately apparent is that he DOES care, but he never lets that act as any sort of barrier to letting the fun loose on stage."--peter greyy (SeattleComedy.net commentary)"Heneghen is regarded as one of the most original comics to ever come out of Seattle. A true pioneer, his improvisational skills matched with his sharp tongue and love for the true art form of comedy make this man a must-see for everyone.A finalist in The Seattle International Comedy Competition more than once, Heneghen is a legendary performer who will make you laugh, think and if you're drunk enough maybe even a few other things!"- Seattle Comedy Competition
"On the other hand, the winner for the evening had us roaring from his very first word. When Heneghen found out that the comic who was supposed to go before him wasn't there, he shambled on to the stage, picked up the mic, and shouted, "FUCK!" He had a very funny style of storytelling -- I had tears in my eyes when he described his reaction to being asked to take a drug test for a job. "Pee test?! You want to see if I can hit the cup? Ok, sparky, hold it out there, and I'll go for distance!"-Anita's Book of Days blog
