Henry Gee - keyboards, vocals, accordion, pandemonium, tantrums
Influences
All the classics: classic electric blues (Chicago-style, Muddy Waters and BB King to Fleetwood Mac, ZZTop, Dr Feelgood, Gary Moore ...), classic funk and soul (Stax/Atlantic, James Brown, Prince, Commitments...) and classic rock (Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Queen, Whitesnake, Eric Clapton, Free, Bad Company etc).
Sounds Like
My comfort zone is Hammond, with a bit of Wurlitzer EP and some lead synth. Funky blues a speciality. Think Jon Lord (organ), Ray Charles (piano) and Jan Hammer (synth). Oh, I wish.
I'm a keyboard player of more than 25 years' experience based in Cromer in north Norfolk, England, and I am available for deps and sessions. So if your regular keyboard player can't make it; or you want some real keyboards on your demo; drop me a line. I've played just about everything, from Chicago blues to classic rock, heavy metal to folk, gospel to pure pop. I've played originals and covers, and done time in tribute bands - one to Pink Floyd, another to Eric Clapton. My current rig includes a Hammond XK1 organ and a Korg TR61 workstation, a Carlsbro combo, Behringer mini-mixer, and a Volvo. I have also been known to play accordion, loudly, in a built up area; and with a little encouragement (none at all, really) do my one-man performance of Bohemian Rhapsody.
