There really are too many to name at one sitting, but let me give a very small rundown. I suppose we pick up a little bit of everything we listen to, so my influences are not strictly guitar players. But here goes:
Eric Johnson, SRV, Vinnie Moore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Russ Freeman, Neil Schon, Tony Macalpine, Brent Mason, Frank Gambale, Steve Morse, Steve Vai, Doyle Dykes, Leo Kottke, Jimmy Olander, Dan Huff, David Benoit, Journey, The Carpenters, Olivia Newton-John, Emmylou Harris, Linda Rondstadt, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Vito Bratta, Ritchie Kotzen, Jason Becker, Blues Saraceno, Billy Sheehan, Stu Hamm, George Lynch, The Rippingtons, Paul Gilbert, Scotty Anderson, Tuck Andress, Marty Friedman, Chicago, Foreigner, Def Leppard, Restless Heart, Celine Dion, Anita Baker, Joey Taffola, and last but not least Mom & Dad (thanks for filling my life with beautiful music- I love you both so much!)
Sounds Like
A ray of sunlight through the parting clouds, after the pouring rain :)
Henry Haney is the pastor of Liberty Worship Center in Wingate, NC. He has also been playing the guitar for almost 25 years. The music you hear on this page represents some of his original compositions in rough format. His playing style is a mixture of rock/jazz fusion. He replies to most correspondence personally.

Recently, I added a new song to my music player called, "Always" which might be one of the best songs I've written so far. Tthe chorus was scored for an entire violin section, however, in studio, I had one violinist, Jan "Yes I Can" Sullins. I asked her to single handedly create the sound of a "Hollywood style" string section. This is almost like telling someone, "Please jump rope one handed 10 times while monkeys nip at your feet."
Lucky for me, Jan worked some magic and now you can hear it on track 1 in my music player. It's called "Always" and is from my upcoming album, "Awakening," to be released June 16th.

Ever heard a single violinist sound like 12?
