NO LONGER A BAND BUT STILL ROCKIN MUSIC. :)
“Yellow hills turn red now, another one comes home and another family weeps.”
Former members of Seattle noise rock bands Juno and Automaton combine to form Henry Hanks, a radical departure that returns the former rockers to the low-fi basics with sparse melodies, country riffs and haunting vocals. Henry Hanks music comes from a space singer Pat Kearney calls the “lowlands”-a familiar place turned desolate, where war rages and hearts struggle to remain intact. Like Wil Oldam and Smog, Henry Hanks straddle bare bones country with noise and feedback to create odd, unsettling, catchy songs. Between the four of them and their past music projects, the Hanks crew have 6 full-length records, 14 national tours and 3 European tours under their belts.
