THE UNDERGROUND BLUES HALL of FAME
BYLAWS
MISSION:
This site is dedicated to those BLUES artist and groups on myspace that are presently in the Blues underground. Blues persons that have not been signed by a major record lable. Those folks that are out there weekend after weekend keeping the blues alive, in the small joints, and the big halls, playing for crowds of 25 or 2,500 just bending the BLUES.

To "SING" the unsung, unsigned HEROS of the Blues, recognizing their contributions to the quest we share of "Keeping the BLUES Alive."

DIRECTORS:
The directors will only be made up of FANS, persons with a genuine passion for the blues. If by some chance any become a part of some band, they will be allowed to remain a director, but will be disqualified from any vote concerning the group they are a part of.

NEW UBHOF BYLAW ISSUED OUT BY UNCLE HENRY...
Be it resolved: That Artist may become Director/Advisors to The Underground Blues Hall of Fame. They shall be afforded the same voting privalage as other directors and consulted concerning different aspects of the blues to the advancement of this Hall of Fame and the blues.

These persons, shall be governing body concerning who is accepted as fellow Directors, who is Inducted into this hall of fame, the rules for accepting friends request and any changes to these "BYLAWS."

INDUCTEES:
Once you are inducted into the "Underground BLUES HALL of FAME" you will remain there, you will not be removed by us at all. You are encouraged to offer suggestions for improving the efforts we are attempting here, submit nominations for possable Director candidates, nominations of candidates for consideration by the Directors for induction and also to encourage your blues friends to visit the "Underground Blues Hall of Fame"

NOMINATIONS:
Anybody can nominate people for Directors or Induction into The "Underground Blues Hall of Fame". THIS IS TO BE DONE ONLY IN THE FORM OF A MESSAGE and MUST include the Myspace Address or the person(s) you nominate.

Nominations must be made by message to the "Underground Blues Hall of Fame" page. The nominations will then be submitted to the Directors for consideration.
VOTING:
ALL VOTING MUST BE DONE BY A REPLY to the MESSAGE or by a MESSAGE telling your approval or disapproval of the question!
The poll will be open for one week for your reply [a due date will be posted on each submission] after which the result will be anounced.
Replys not received from any director will be considered a blank and will count neither for nor against, it will not figure into the total votes needed to approve.
The rule to approve candidates [Directors or Inductees] a simple majority of the VOTES RECEIVED. The rule to approve changes in these "BYLAWS" requires a 2/3 majority of the VOTES RECEIVED.

RESOLUTIONS:
RESOLUTIONS as items added to these "BYLAWS" to address the wishes and concerns of the Directors. They are intended to set direction of how business is to be conducted and to set the policy of "The Underground Blues Hall of Fame"

1 BE IT RESOLVED, that we shall allow, the nomination and induction, into this Hall of Fame, certain, deserving, "non-performing" persons, who are actively involved in keeping the BLUES alive, either by: Broadcast - Internet or podcast, Promotion or Encouragement of Artist/Groups.

2 BE IT RESOLVED, that all members be encouraged to invite their blues friends to join our group of friends. [including fans and bands]

3 Be it resolved: that the duties of managing the "Underground Blues Hall of Fame" be shared with an "Assistant", that will act to help the founder and in the event of his inability to act to maintain the progress of the "UBHOF" will assume the management of the "UBHOF" and train a new Assistant.

4 Be it resolved: that a committee be formed to review all nominations for induction and "New" Directors and will examine the candidates for worthiness and present to all the remaining directors those candidates they deem worthy of our consideration. Be it futher resolved that this commitee shall be chaired by the Assistant Managing Director and consist of at least two other directors that are willing to help.

Music LOVERS - Who include the Blues [or a Blues Artist] or Jazz [many think of the blues as Jazz].
Or those that state in a message they are interested in the blues

Blues only or Blues included as what they play
WHO'S REQUEST WILL BE DENIED?
ANYONE with:
Links to Adult Entertainment on their profile,
Business oppertunities for sale on profile or by link,
Anyone selling anything except for music on their profile or post,
Any one that post either of the above two items after acceptance will be removed and blocked.
