The Chauvet and Lascaux Caves located in France with "walls richly decorated with Paleolithic artwork" are the inspiration for the next four pieces. My father introduced me to the artwork. I thought after seeing the stags and other animals described by man some tens of thousands of years ago, that I would give it a go myself and to do something that reflects the same 'style', as I thought everything about them was just kick ass.
All of these paintings are done in watercolors and charcoals, but I also added cigarette ashes, spit, and other stuff that helped create the feel I was looking for. Done on 130# cold press watercolor paper.
