Who I'd like to meet: Those interested in learning more about Hep C or in need of support and services related to Hep C.
I was interested to find your site. I've know I'm positive for Hepatitis C for about 4 years, after donating at my community college. (You know, the "eeeewwwww, yucky blood, don't come back") So they mentioned how I got it, and what happens to you when you have it; BYE!!!!
I'm old, and still going to school kinda whiffs of ignorance, but I have a viable excuse, would you like me to get a note from my kids?....lol, but the point is I'm taking these classes that I haven't had since High School, the ones the kids pass on to get their upper division work done: Health, PE.
OK, to the point, our instructor pointed out that nail salons are great places to get HEP C because of the sanitation standards, or rather lack thereof. We don't think about it. But take your own manicure set, or if you go to a classy enough joint where they autoclave make sure you see your operator take the tools out of a hermetically sealed bag that will be used on you.
The HEP C genome can live up to 5 days outside the body.
The disinfectant used isn't bleach.
I like a manicure, but my cuticles always get nicked, and trimmed really short. I wonder if the places I go to passed it on for me???? I'm just heartsick.
Dear Hep C Connection: World Peace Before 2021 is honored to be YourFriend. My eight-year-old-peace-activist son Axil Kollist's quest for World Peace Before 2021 is gaining momentum! I'm so proud of him. Please embrace him AND his song "World Peace Before 2021" which he performs beautifully. His performance can be seen on MySpace, his webpage www. worldpeacebefore2021. com and/or YouTube (by searching his name Axil Kollist.) It is my intention to post a new video of him singing his song every few months so people can watch his talent grow as impressively as the momentum for his quest! I'm inviting you to contact my son directly too via his email address worldpeacebefore2021@hawaii.rr.com .I'm sharing two photos with you. The first is of my son distributing his free world peace bumperstickers and the second photo is of him singing his song “World Peace Before 2021” at Maui's Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Day Festivities in January 08. By all means, email Axil if you’d like him to send you one of his free “World Peace Before 2021” bumperstickers. His email address is worldpeacebefore2021@hawaii.rr.com . Very best regards, Axil Kollist’s mom
Our networking relationship with your organization precedes the memorable time we spent with Ann Jesse in Houston at the 2001 Hepatitis Magazine conference.
Thank you for the important work you do and for being a source of patient referral to HELP! over the years.
