Jason Wheatley likes: Foo Fighters, The Beatles, John Lennon, Korn, Led Zeppelin, Beck, the Beastie Boys, Jay-Z, Nine Inch Nails, Queen, David Bowie, the Crystal Method, Mos Def, the White Stripes, Justin Timberlake. Yes, Jason said Justin Timberlake. Don't knock JT. Jason's musical tastes are pretty eclectic, but he has a general dislike for all country music. However, he makes an exception for the Man in Black, Johnny Cash. He also firmly believes the band Coheed and Cambria should drop off the face of the planet.

Jason Foster likes: Film scores, including The Empire Strikes Back, Superman: The Movie, Poltergeist, United 93, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and many more. He also likes '80s music.
MoviesJustin likes: Star Wars, Dazed and Confused, Superman II, The Great Escape, Ed Wood, Rocky, Borat, Kingpin, All the President’s Men, Reservoir Dogs, The Usual Suspects, Batman Begins

Jason Wheatley likes: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Office Space, Austin Powers, Fight Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Swingers, Happy Gilmore, Night of the Living Dead, The Goonies, Zoolander, Batman Begins, Back to the Future, all the Kevin Smith movies (but Mallrats is his fave), Napoleon Dynamite, Better Off Dead, The Incredibles, Halloween, the Evil Dead Trilogy, Kill Bill, The Matrix, Old School, Reservoir Dogs, the Alien movies, the Spider-Man trilogy, the X-Men trilogy, Starship Troopers, Van Wilder, Shaun of the Dead, Transformers: The Movie...and so many more...

Jason Foster likes: Star Wars Trilogy (the first one), Saving Private Ryan, All the President’s Men, The Shawshank Redemption, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Goonies (in a sentimental, 80s way), The Paper, Seven, Good Will Hunting

Jason Wheatley likes: 24, Lost, Heroes, Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, Alias, Prison Break, The Shield, Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck, Arrested Development, House, My Name is Earl, The Office, South Park, Smallville, Entourage, The Simpsons, Chappelle's Show, Seinfeld, American Dad, Robot Chicken, Reaper, Firefly, Undeclared, Reno 911!

Jason Foster likes: Lost, Heroes, The Office (both versions), 30 Rock, My Name is Earl, Ghost Hunters, Man vs. Wild, The Simpsons, Chuck, Psych, Arrested Development

Jason Wheatley likes: Stephen King books, The Da Vinci Code, Lord of the Rings, Michael Crichton books, Batman: The Long Halloween, Spider-Man: Kraven's Last Hunt, DC: The New Frontier, Y: The Last Man, Preacher, New Avengers. Those last several are comic books - yes, Jason reads books with words and pictures, and he is not ashamed.

Jason Foster likes: When Jason reads, it’s usually nonfiction. Some favorites include “Dave Barry is Not Making This Up” and “Andy Kaufman Revealed!” (Editor's note: This is a lie. Jason Foster doesn't even know how to read.)

About me:
Who are we, you ask?

We are Jason Wheatley, Jason Foster, and Justin McGuire. We're three guys who work for The Herald, the daily newspaper of Rock Hill, S.C. But more importantly, we created the PopCast, a weekly pop culture podcast brought to you by Heraldonline.com. It's also available on iTunes.

Sorry if our page looks a little sparse for now...since Justin jumped the gun on announcing this to everyone, it's not quite ready yet. But feel free to send us a friend request, and we'll make an announcement when it's ready to go...or at least better-looking. We're no HTML wizards.

And if you're also on Facebook, feel free to join our group there - just search for the group "I love The Herald PopCast!" You don't even have to love us to join...even just a casual appreciation is okay.
Who I'd like to meet:
You! If you're someone who loves pop culture, podcasts, and/or podcasts about pop culture, send us a friend request, then go to Heraldonline.com or iTunes and download some episodes! Or do it in the reverse order. It makes no difference to us.

Sad to see the popcast go. What's the address to the "other" popcast? Those guys sound funny and entertaining.

Hey I see you guys got an RSS feed going. Awesome. Also the Sex in the City fans are like Star Wars fans. My wife saw it on the nationwide opening and said it was crazy how many women dressed up like the characters.

Frank Stallone also was in Staying Alive, which Sly wrote and directed. Frank was in the band in the movie.

You should have a poll on the site where the listeners get to vote which live show you all go to. My vote is for you guys to go see The Locust live. They play really short, but fast, songs.

I would like to see some guest on the show. Even if it's a different person around the Herald office.

The Superman comic...I'm so ashamed. But...I couldn't help myself! Coolest comic strip I've ever seen.

I just watched Hot Rod and man that movie was lacking comedy big time. I have to say that the stunt-a-roos are way better than the movie. peace

Justin, Jason...try not to screw up the PopCast too bad while I'm out for the next couple of weeks!

Merry Christmas guys.

Definitely stay away from 2girls1cup. It's better to watch peoples funny reactions to it on youtube. There's one where a guy has his grandmother watch it and she is disgusted, but she keeps watching. Pretty funny.

No, Justin, do not thank him for that. Listeners, if you value your sanity or just don't want to spend the rest of your day boiling your eyeballs (or perhaps washing them with bleach), do not go to that site. I made that mistake a couple of weeks ago when my curiosity got the better of me, and...God, please, just no.

Shame on you, Shaun...shame on you.

Ur, uh, thanks. I guess.

Enjoy the shirt!

So.....I got my shirt today. I must say, seeing a package from Rock Hill got me VERY excited. Consider me a walking billboard. Hearing you boys argue with each other makes me think of girls and cups.

Sometimes listening to the way you 3 talk to each other reminds me of watching a woman beat up a man.
