Her Blackened Rose was birthed in the early months of the year 2007, which first came about after I had hit quite a traumatic time in my life, after I lost a friend. Following that tragedy came 6 months of gruelling depression and suicidal thoughts, which is what the EP 'Introspection' illustrates.
I really believe that going through and conquering depression really opened my eyes, and I became a new person. I finally understand who I am, where I am from, and what my purpose is in life.
New material is beginning to emerge, which differs quite a bit from the work completed on 'Introspection,' as I am beginning to encorporate more styles such as industrial, electronica, folk and classical within my sound. The song 'Wires' demonstrates my passion for the environment and the welfare of the planet, how it has been destroyed, but how it can be remade.
In recent months I have also begun to work collaboratively with artists such as Ekki Endorphin and Mark Moffre.
All in all, I believe the most important feature in my music, is that I try to combine many different art forms such as poetry, photography, painting and of course the music itself to express myself the best I can, and show you, who I am.

Put together the first music video for one of the songs, that being for the song "Eel Marsh House", which is based on the movie "The Woman In Black". Wasn't sure to name it that instead of 'Eel Marsh..." ...Eel Marsh House being where the woman in black 'lived', and now haunts it. Though, she seems to haunt the general area of the village as well as the House. If anyone catches her gaze, looks into her eyes....a child will die, usually from the family of the person unfortunate to look at her. As you see what happens to the story's main character at the end.

Hi, Clare, very glad you've found my tunes interesting. Well, telling the truth, in the beginning my new album was written for a female voice too, but since I was unable to find one, I re-wrote all the lyrics. Yep, i'm searching a male voice, and well, the she-singer I had in mind a while ago would have had to sing in screaming/grawl. Maybe your voice is too beautiful to ruin it singing this way. I've appreciated very much your composition skills; they're not so different from mine in their mood approach. So, it was a dream to have a female singer too, but very few can sing in a far aggressive way. If you can and want to... well, tell me :)

I saw a single white line splashed across an endless blue. It occurred to me that this line reminded me of you. It moved with precision, yet hardly at all. The world kept pulling, yet it didn’t fall. With grace and daring it flowed through the sky even when there was no reason why. Some said this line was plain and barely gave it a glance, but I saw its beauty and I studied its dance. Then something precious happened that only I know. A single raindrop fell on my nose. “You’re awesome!“ I shouted and the echo came back. Like a hand on my shoulder or a pat on the back. Me and the cloud shook hands, so to speak. Cloud up above and me down beneath.
