Home Grown Band from Ocean Beach in San Diego California, Herb N Root fused socially conscious rhymes and spoken poetry with funk, hip hop, rock, and jazz inspired grooves. Supported and booked by several san diego bands and local venues, Herb N Root played everything from backyard parties, farmers markets, local clubs, world beat center events, summer festivals, and university events. Herb and Root was also featured in the SDSU student movie The Big Bang, along side the movies start Jacob Jones!
Good and honest fun, this band was known for its energy and consciousness. Though from time to time they were laid back and smooth as sliky candy. A life time of memories in 18 months... Herb N Root still lives in our hearts -- L2.
