"...I can't imagine that they won't find a single person interested in properly putting out the music represented on their demo 'Life Becomes Our Grave'...
Some of the most positive aspects are the guitarriffs (brutal and pompous) and the vocals (comparable to Glen Benton, but with an extra thick edge to it), which both happen to be done by Sarp Keski. Benton did not only influence Keski on the way he sings, but also on how to write simplistic but interesting anti-religious lyrics. All five of the songs (not counting the intro) are well-structured...
Heretic Soul is a promising band. Now try getting into the EU..."

"...21 Grams", which starts with a rhythm played by Erhan and a great riff kicks in to blow your brains to the wall! HERETIC SOUL’s brutal, yet groovy Death Metal will remind you of MALEVOLENT CREATION’s guitar melodies, the groovy ALL SHALL PERISH breaks and BLOODBATH’s brutality.
One thing that could definitely be a lot better in this CD is the production. It is such a pity to "bury" Erhan’s great drumming under a sound so raw, as well as let the great guitar work be covered in filth.
They are surely not the best band I have came across the last years, but they are surely a band that has the potential to achieve many things in the future. I believe that with a little help, HERETIC SOUL will kick many asses.

"...Life Becomes Our Grave" is a classic case of a release leaving the listener begging for more.
The vocals are mostly "shouted growls" which sound quite appropriate for the overall abrasive aggressiveness of the music.
Some of the guitar riffs are more akin to slow pounding Thrash than to Death Metal, slowly building up speed to get into full
DM mode, complete with faster, slightly more muddy guitars and blast beats.
"Life Becomes Our Grave" is an almost perfect mix of Death, Thrash and Black metal, a great blend of the basic elements of
all three genres..." Metalcrypt.com - 4 / 5 - Click to read the whole review!
"...The guys in Heretic soul are pretty young, as the oldest one just turned on 21...
The young guys shows a technique and routine that many bands, even after playing together for 10 years, don’t have.
The songs are not boring at all, and to be honest is the 24 minutes over faster than you even want it...
Without exaggerating I would say, that Heretic soul is one of the best new bands this year,
and the Producers should keep eyes and ears open!..." Metal.de (GER) - 8 / 10 - Click to read the whole review!
"...Turkey based power trio Heretic Soul bring a modern, groove-laden interpretation of mid-nineties Swedish death metal
in the vein of Unleashed, (early) Dismember and (early) Entombed. Just like those bands Heretic Soul plays
well-structured death metal that is mostly midpaced with regular faster sections...
“Life Becomes Our Grave” is a promising little EP which might just put Heretic Soul into the limelight
outside of their native Turkey..." Masterful Magazine (PL) - 7 / 10 - Click to read the whole review!
"...There is no place for sound declines this time, everything sounds just like is should to.
There's also no lack of more melodic motives (for example guitar solo in "21 Grams")...
Sarp Keski also does well, growling like a professional. It's also worth to notice he's the band's only guitarist,
what makes the guitar parts more admirable...
I consider Life Becomes Our Grave as a good debut, which gives the Istanbul trio chanses to be discovered by
a wide bevy of the listeners!..." Metal.pl - 7 / 10 - Click to read the whole review!
