"What In The Living Hell Is Out There?" This is one of a few tag lines to John Carpenter's eerie, 1980 supernatural film "The Fog." It looks at the coastal town of Antonio Bay, California, which is celebrating its centennial year. Yet, in the town's church, buried within the walls, the local priest discovers the tragedy that took place a century ago, and the revenge and havoc that is coming in the form of a creepy, dense, pulsating fog! This movie gets to me all the time, and any time a fog bank comes through, I never look at it exactly the same way!!! I highly recommend this to you!!! :D This is the last film in my list of Horror favorites(until next year!). For next Fri. is Halloween!!! :D Be sure to tune in for a special rhyme/poem/treat next week!!! :D I hope your Sat. and Sun. are full of fun: Stay healthy, be happy, and I'll see you next week, my awesome Mr. Josh and my awesome Miss Sara!!! :D Nicholas
"You'll Enjoy Mr. Barlow...And He'll Enjoy You!" This line comes from a TV miniseries, directed by Tobe Hooper, who gave us "Poltergeist." The 1975 novel "'Salem's Lot" by Stephen King, is one of my all time favorites!!! In the late fall, early winter of 1979, this 2-part TV miniseries debuted, and is a real frightening tale! It looks at the small town of Jerusalem's Lot, Maine, known better as 'Salem's Lot to the locals, and the evil that lurks in every corner there. In the story, one Mr. Richard T. Straker comes into town, and buys the infamous Marsten House, a huge mansion with its own unsavory past. He brings with him Mr. Kurt Barlow, a centuries-old vampire who slowly but surely takes over the townsfolk. It is truly an awesome book and TV miniseries. Great characters, a cozy, quaint town setting, a scary musical score, and truly terrifying vampires make this novel a must-read and this miniseries a must-have on your list! Coming up next week...well, you'll have to be sure and watch for it!!! So, please have a marvelous weekend: Stay happy and healthy, enjoy yourself, and I'll see ya next Fri., my vampirish Mr. Josh and my vampirish Miss Sara!!! :D Nicholas

"He-e-e-re's Johnny!" This classic line comes from the uber creepy, 1980 Stanley Kubrick film "The Shining." Based on Stephen King's 1977 novel, it tells the tale of a young family who look after a secluded hotel in Colorado over the winter, when it closes until the next Spring. The main character, Jack Torrance, slowly but surely goes crazy, and succumbs to the hotel's not-so-happy past. Excellent acting, a superb, ominous setting, a chilling musical score, and outright terror make this movie a must-see (or must-have) on your list!!! It's excellent!!! :D Be sure to tune in next week for the third film in my favorites list! :) I hope you have a most fabulous weekend (It's the Chorus' Fall Retreat-so exciting!). Be sure to stay happy and healthy, laugh and smile, and I'll see ya next time, my fantastic Mr. Josh and my fantastic Miss Sara!!! :D Nicholas
