Hermanas Sister llevan 15 años dando guerra por el universo musical
con su fusión de funk, jazz, pop, e incluso punk...
Fueron ganadores de la primera edición del concurso IMAGINAROCK
en el 94, del Emergenza Acoustic Festival en el 2004 y llevan más de
mil conciertos, habiendo participado en el NAMM show de los Angeles,
en la Mussicmesse de Frankfurt, en el Songwriters Festival en
Birmingham
y en incontables lugares por toda la geografía nacional.
Tienen tres discos editados y un cuarto a punto de ser terminado,
"Songs for dysfunctional lovers" que esperan poder presentar en breve.

In 1994 Hermanas Sister was formed by singer/songwriter Anita Rowe
and guitarist/producer Carlos Germade. A year later this anglo-spanish
duo went on to become the winners of Imagina Rock, a contest organised
by the SGAE (the spanish equivalent to the British PRS)
This competition featured over a thousand bands and which was primarily
judged on live performance as well as musical composition gave the band
the opportunity to record their first CD "The Punk Acid Jazz Experience"
Following this, they signed to prestigous spanish label Nuevos Medios,
whereby they released a further two CDs on to the market, "Peeling
Walls" and "Little fishes in the big bad sea".
In Dec 2004 they won the international Emergenza Acoustic Showcase,
a live contest which featured 142 artists/bands from Great Britain,
Germany, Italy, France, Spain and Austria...
The duo has recently finished their fourth album, “Songs for dysfunctional
lovers“. Although not yet released, several of the songs have already
been included in a compilation album released by Acid Jazz Records, the
title soundtrack for Spanish film "Hombres Felices" and on three Spanish
national television series.
During their fourteen years of activity they have played more than a
thousand concerts, although the majority of them in Spain, they have
also performed at the NAMM show in Los Angeles, Frankfurt´s
Mussikmesse, participated in Birmingham´s Songwriters Festival,
the Mad About Guitar Festival and Doctor Music Festival. They have
also played support to international artists such as Neneh Cherry,
Tania Maria or Les Rita Mitzouko.
