Hermetic are a Canadian indie rockband, formed in 2006 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The group consists of songwriter Eric Axen (vocals, guitar and harmonica) and Bart Newman (drums and background vocals). After practicing together for six months, Hermetic began playing shows in April 2007, but did not start taking themselves seriously until January 2008. That year, they played 26 live shows, including the Music Waste festival in June, a short tour with Animal Names in August/September, and Shindig in September-December, in which they won first place. To date, Hermetic have released a split cd-r with Plus Perfect, have recorded a song for an upcoming 7”, and have plans to record a full-length lp at the Hive Studios in June 2009.

just wanna say you guys played an awesome set the other night at the biltmore. I came for japandroids but came away a fan of hermetic as well. that baritone guitar sounds soo good!
