Interests

General
The main focus of our rescue is to help unwanted or homeless animals. Our goal is to find a great forever home for these animals before it is too late! Also to educate the public how important it is to neuter and spay your animals to cut down on the countless amounts of animals being destroyed.

To Donate or Help
It takes money to save lives! Almost every animal that comes to us from high kill shelters must be treated for upper respiratory infections and/or kennel cough. We have pulled many malnourished animals, pets with skin problems, gangrene, false pregnancies. Without donations, we would not be able to get the animals the care they need and deserve. Please help if you can!

Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog to sleep in comfort, please donate a Kuranda dog bed.

Please help us to help the homeless animals! If you have any cans or bottles that you are willing to donate please send us an email and we will come pick them up. Money raised will help with vet bills. Money is also needed for food, litter, medication, vet appointments, toys, gas cards for our volunteers to transport our animals. We are in desperate need right now of funds to provide great care for the animals and to keep saving them from death row.

Click Here To Fill Out An Application To Adopt ..

When you fill out an application...

We will email you when we receive your application. In the days to follow, we will be checking on your vet/personal references.

If everything checks out, we will contact you to set up a time when you can meet the pet if you haven't already.

If you are still interested and we think it will be a good fit, we will set up a home visit. In a home visit, one of our volunteers will bring the pet to your home to see how it interacts with you and/or your other family members and pets.

If we feel that your family would be a good fit for that pet, we would then set up a day to do the adoption.

(All pets are up to date on shots, spayed/neutered, fecal checked, and micro chipped before their adoption day. Dogs are also heart worm tested and cats are leukemia and FIV tested.)

Adoption Fee

(Includes neuter, all age appropriate shots, fecal test, microchip and heartworm test for dogs and leukemia and FIV tests for cats)

Certain senior pets might qualify for a reduced adoption fee!

★PLease help us Raise money for Francescas ACL surgery★

Francesca aka "Franny" needs our help. She is the personal dog to one of Heroes main foster families. This family has helped to foster and train many neglected and unwanted dogs and puppies. Franny has been diagnosed with a completely torn ACL. She needs surgery asap as she is in great pain and cannot use her leg. Heroes realizes that we have to support and help our own. If you can find it in your heart to help Franny, we will all appreciate it. Heroes knows times are tough, we are having a hard time ourselves. That's why we are also doing a bottle/can drive. If you don't have any extra cash, maybe you could donate some returnables to help Franny and the whole Heroes for Homeless Animals rescue. Thanks for reading!

We need foster homes that would be willing to foster older dogs & yes including Pit bulls but not limited to. Ages 1 & up the group pays for all needs of the animal we would never ask you to support an animal belonging to the group. As A wise Woman once told me A good foster home is worth it's weight in gold. Please drop us an email if you are interested we would love to see new faces joining the fight.

Despite there being a ban on commercial whaling, Right now the Japanese whaling fleet are in the southern ocean whale sanctuary, where they plan on slaughtering 935 minke and 50 endangered fin whales, Goverments of the world are not doing enough if anything to stop this, I urge people to boycott Japan and please sign petitions and write to Japanese embassies around the world to put pressure on the Japanese Govt, as well as your own govt. Whaling is totally unnecessary, barbaric and cruel, whaling needs to end today!!

Recently, the Northern Territory government announced plans to kill 3000 camels by means of aerial shooting in the township of Docker River.
Thirsty and in search of water, the camels converged on the community of Docker River. Instead of assisting the community by building barriers to keep the camels out of the township and investing in long term solutions such as research into birth control or the construction of a manmade waterhole for the camels to drink from, the government are planning to herd the animals away from the town, shoot them and leave their bodies to rot.

Despite the outrage of thousands of concerned people from around the world, the Northern Territory government has given the green light for the cull to go ahead and thousands of scared camels are now being annihilated by marksmen from helicopters.
