I'm a spiritual being residing temporarily in a physical body, I like to read and write, love color-whether painting, beading or deciding what to wear, I like to travel (if I can't afford to travel physically, I'll pick up a good book and off I go-time and space traveling:)
I was born in upstate New York in a small town named Green Island, which is across the bridge from Troy. I began to write poetry at the age of 5, while spending time at my grandparents house in Watervieliet. Some of my early poetry was published in the Manning's Mill newspaper. I have continued to write thoughout my life. My early work tended much more towards rhyme, but with the help of a published poet, and the introduction to Rod McKuen's work, I broke away from intentional rhyme and tend much more toward free style. Women's issues are at the center of my recent work, as well as politics (which I see as a macrocosm of the dysfunctional family microcosm dynamics).
One of the things I love to create is beaded jewelry. I first attempted this craft when 10 years old. It has remained a form of expression for me while having gone through many transformations in style and form. My jewelry has been sold in New York, Maine, Georgia,Chicago and recently New Mexico. Some of the purchases have traveled to the U.K., purchased from an intuitive healer, while others have traveled throughout the country. My jewelry is made with prayer and meditation...never duplicated, with a strong sense of sacred geometry. I just figured out how to download some pics of my jewelry, paintings and some photography of the trip Bill, my greatest love, and I just took to California...I'm still somewhat of a cave-woman, when it comes to technology.....I find it hard to move away from the tactile experiences.... but I finally did it, in large part due to Bill, who is techno-savy for sure!
My interests are broad and eclectic; sociology, antropology, world relgious studies, sacred geometry, writing, visual arts, nature, meditation, music (folk, native american, female vocalists and world music along with some blues, including sacred chants), and photography
Who I'd like to meet: truth seekers, beauty walkers, anyone who wants to become the change they want to see in the world (ghandi quote),people with good medicine, real human beings, the Dalai Lama-and new and old friends who want to recreate beauty in the world
When you get down to it, we basically go back and forth between two basic emotions: love and fear. Fear can be healthy(fear of walking into traffic for instance) but most of the time, it's an unreal movie we are playing in our head. Fear prevents us from living our dreams, from taking chances, from living our lives the way would like to. Our fears hold us prisoner in jails of our own making. Only when we live through the eyes of love and not fear can we be truly authentic and true to ourselves.
Today, I have a simple question for you. Please ponder it. And find a way to act on it. What risks would you take if you weren't afraid? Wishing you a wonderful week ahead,
Happy Friday 13th! Energy is neither good nor bad, it is how we decide to use that energy that defines who we are and the kind of experiences we have. Friday 13th is a powerful day, but not one to be feared. We must always remember that whatever we think about we will attract into our lives. By keeping our thoughts positive and proactive this powerful stream of energy can be used to bring good things into our lives. So don’t face today with fear but look at it as a day as any other filled with possibilities, it is a powerful day none the less so choose to use the energy wisely! Have a wonderful day and weekend too:-)
It is a magical interval when the mundane laws of time and space are temporarily suspended, and the Thin Veil between the worlds is lifted. Communicating with ancestors and departed loved ones is easy at this time, for they journey through this world on their way to the Summerlands.
Some days you may feel as if you are invisible, that life is going on around you and you aren’t part of it. Remember that at soul level we are all one, all connected to one another. It doesn’t cost anything to make the effort to smile at the person passing by you on the street, to hold the door open for someone or to exchange a few words with the next one in line, or to thank the one who serves you in a shop. You may be the only person who will acknowledge them that day. It is these little touches that make us all feel part of society, part of each other. When we raise the spirits of another, that energy comes back to us magnified, so everyone benefits, if we all did this what a difference it would make to the world. Start today reach out to someone and be the one to make a difference!
Most people achieved their greatest success one step beyond what looked like their greatest failure. - Brian Tracy
Today go the extra mile; you owe it to yourself and to your dreams to just stretch yourself a little further. You are so close, closer than you could ever possibly imagine. Go within and tune into your higher self see it, feel it, smell it, and taste it, now step up and claim what is rightly yours! Never Ever Give Up!
Welcome to my circle of friends :-) I look forward to getting to know you. Have a lovely week ahead my new friend
Walk and touch peace every moment. Walk and touch happiness every moment. Each step brings a fresh breeze. Each step makes a flower bloom. Kiss the Earth with your feet. Bring the Earth your love and happiness. The Earth will be safe when we feel safe in ourselves. ~Thich Nhat Hanh
Hey, Hope all is good. Many things happening here. Some I will tell you with joy. Some just learning life's lessons dealing with kids, as they see life!! All is well here. Get back to me on sending you some music.
Greetings, my Friends! I've missed you all...been working on stuff! As I visualize and create my own medical clinic where people, including me, grow and heal, I am utilizing a body of thought called ABRAHAM (You can Google-- try ABRAHAM-HICKS). On the surface it may seem childish-- I thought so at first...I mean, visualizing new cars or jobs or something. But what if what we are visualizing is a living abundant beautiful Earth? This mode of thought is a means to create the world we wish to see. Love to hear your comments...
