Michael Costantini and Joe Donatelli are Hero Style, a two-man comedy group in Los Angeles. Hero Style is known for its original music, irreverent sketch comedy and for drinking heavily at the bar it brings onstage. Mike and Joe have performed at The Knitting Factory, McCabe's Guitar Shop, Improv Olympic West, Upright Citizens Brigade, Gardner Stages (with The Great Adventure) and Westside Eclectic. They also perform long-form improv as part of the group Pangea and have a podcast called The Second Column you can access at joedonatelli.com.
“Hero Style’s unique and seamless blend of music and comedy, both sketch and improv, is wonderfully entertaining and their energy on stage is intoxicating.” - Marc Campbell, owner, The Westside Eclectic
“Hero Style was fun, original, and engaging, so much so that I was disappointed when the show ended! I can’t wait to see them again.” - Alison Wolk Campbell, cofounder, The Westside Eclectic
“Joe Donatelli possesses a sharp, witty sense of humor that skewers through every piece he writes. Mike Costantini exploits his own innocence on stage, bringing a unique, vulnerable straight man to the guitar and to the stage. They are totally in on their own joke of drinking for charity, which makes their work pop with self-referential brilliance.” - Rasika Mathur, actress
"You guys rocked!” - Josh Meindertsma, The Great Adventure
"You made our job so much easier by getting everyone to laugh with your catchy, witty songs!" - Sebastian Clark, singer, on opening for him
“Hysterical.” – Mark Cuban, Dallas Mavericks owner, on Hero Style's "Save The NBA" video

Thanks again for doing the show Sunday Night, cats. It couldn't have been better if a dozen coked up monkeys showed up and then tried to have sex with the Paris Hilton clones (and, as everyone knows, there are exactly sixteen Paris Hilton clones. I know, I know, seventeen, right? Well, I don't count the one that got the messed up clone genes and is now a Rhodes Scholar)!
This Friday come see three shows for the price of one. Only $10. First show starts at 8PM.
Would love to see you there!
The Waterbrains & The Transformers. Unpredictable comedy from the top players from the Empty Stage, you never know what you'll see with the Waterbrains., Audience suggestions are given to players, who then create amazing scenarios using the "clap in" improv form. One simple suggestion of an activity or movement from the audience becomes just about anything as this group uses the "transformation" form to transition from one situation to the next.
The Great Adventure with Pangea. Longform improv: Watch members fuse characters, scenes and silliness into an unforgettable journey to somewhere else and then back again.
Being Humans & Vodka and Donuts. Watch members take events and milestones from everyday people's lives, and churn them into a comedic typhoon with a human heart. Each player in each group performs a short monologue, then the players create scenes using the "clap in" improv form. Directed by Stan Wells and Brian Mulligan.
The Ed Galvez Punk House (awesomedude30. blip. tv) is performing at the Westside Eclectic Theater tomorrow at 9PM. Located at 1323-A 3rd St. Promenade. Would love to see you there!
