Hub City Stompers are returning to Texas for an exclusive one-off event at the Texas Ska Fest in Houston on August 1st. Therefore we implore our brothers & sisters & crews in San Antonio, Austin, and all other TX scenes, to bust out a road trip, roll out deep, and converge on H-town for this show. The line up also features bands from all over the Houston scene, as well as El Paso and L.A. representing. Spring is here and so are the butterflies! This week I have a gallery of a particular group of butterflies called Brushfoots. Brushfoots are the most commonly known and encountered of the large colorful butterflies (excluding the swallowtails) found in Florida and the Americas. These include the monarchs, fritillaries, buckeyes, and the viceroy below (who has nearly identical markings as the toxic monarch butterfly) to keep it from being eaten by birds.... cool trick, huh? :-)

My skink got a head injury back in january that became infected. I treated the wound and it quickly healed over nicely. Unfortunatly, he won't eat, and I think he has become blind. He doesn't react to my hand being in his tank like he used to. I've tried force-feeding him, but it just greatly stresses him out (he hated being held when I wasn't force-feeding him already) He hasn't eaten on his own since January and I've only attempted force feeding a few times, three crickets at a time. He's going down-hill very gradually and definitely suffering. I really don't want to have him put down if anything can be done, but unfortunately that might be the only option. Do you have an advice or maybe know someone who might have good advice?
