The Bio of Music
Music is like a stream seeping through the cracks of emotion watering the soul through rhythm and melody. That soulful stream hails from Shreveport, LA and the voices are of brothers Hershey & Face. Unlike trendy sounds that live in the moment, Hershey & Face are gifted musical geniuses who have blessed ears and hearts since they were young children.
While growing up in one of the toughest neighborhoods in the city, watching crime parade and shadow hope, music became their escapade of expression. After winning countless talent shows and competitions, they decided to take destiny into their own hands with bountiful faith and perseverance. Hershey& Face turned their naysayers into believers. Their blood, sweat, and tears were threaded into a classic, masterpiece creating an enchanted body of timeless songs. The two purists are storytellers taking listeners on a compelling musical journey of the hard knocks of life’s experiences detailing love, loss, and pain.
Hershey & Face are no virgins to music’s platform. They have graced collaborations with talents such as Chico DeBarge, Joe, & “New Jack Swing� creator Teddy Riley of chart-topping R&B groups Guy and Blackstreet. The Southern gents were birthed with the musical gene. Their father is a musician/singer/songwriter, and it is to no surprise that music stitched its mark upon the dynamic duo. Both are masters to the guitar, piano, and keyboards. They encompass an array of talent in which they compose, arrange, write, and produce their own music.
What lies behind the lyrics and compositions are pure passion and soul. Just as their musical influences Prince, Joe, Stevie Wonder, and Babyface to name a few individualized the face of music, so will Hershey & Face leave their imprint on music’s evolution.
The songsters have spread their wings with heart-felt rhymes, ballads, and up tempo beats causing a hypnotic movement of loyal fans, swaying hips, and jump steady souls. “You have to love what you do. If you don’t have love for it, it’ll show through whatever you’re doing,� said Face. “We do our music for the love of it, and for the fans. That’s what keeps us motivated, and keeps us going,� said Hershey.
And what keeps music going are artists who embrace the spirit of music’s constant change, creating a pathway of their own classic form of art. Two words. Two hearts. One sound. The soul stirrers Hershey & Face.
