Yes I was there and I can tell you that what actually happened was that Frances Bean intervened and was like "NO way is that big ugly Axl man going to be my godfather!" So the initial back-handed insult from Courtney, and the resulting realization on Axl's part that she was doing Curt's dirty work, and the ensuing near-fisticuffs, and my "Hey hey boys, let's be grown ups" were all interrupted by the Bean and her direct insult to the Ax, for which he had no response whatsoever, other than a little nose wiggle and a pirouette with tail firmly planted between skinny legs.
