Going to gigs and listening to music, watching anime and movies, reading manga and books and playing video games.
Music
Currently enjoying Gentle Menshevik, The Mars Volta, Pearl Jam, The Konami Kode, Darling You Should Be Ashamed, Bleed The Sky, (in theory) and evry track from The Animatrix Soundtrack.
Movies
Not sure at the moment, I've not found anything particularly special for a bit.
Television
*produces a middle finger and aims it at his sworn enemy TV*
Books
I'm currently getting my jollies from Bukowski (as always), a bit of Rousseau, the occasional Bret Easton Elis and when the mood takes me some Dostoyevsky.
Plus on the manga side I'm loving Bleach, Naruto and Old Boy.
About me: My name's Jon, I just turned 23 and I'm a geek.
Despite this I continue to keep on smiling.
I owe all of this to living the life I do. I've got two sets of caring parents, of which two are expecting my new brother or sister (currently codenamed: Sprogly Bogly), a great brother (he's 18) and the most beautiful, supporting girlfriend a man could wish for.
I've also finally found myself (it only took me until some point during my 21st year of existence), in regards to what I want to do with my life. So I've started to train to be a teacher. I'm currently in my first year of uni at Liverpool Hope where I've reinforced my love for the profession as well as meeting some of the most wonderful, engaging and terrifying people you could hope to meet. Oh yeah, and I've started a campaign to simultaneously kill my liver and get healthy. This one may be an uphill challenge.
For those who know me, these are the boring bits:
I have an unstoppable love for Music (of the non-mainstream variety), film, literature, manga and videogames. See, I told I you was a geek.
I like meeting new people and finding new engaging music. Both friends and bands, feel free to say "hi".
Hey there, I'm sorry if you've already checked out, but I've uploaded a song with guest vocal from Mikee Goodman (ex-SikTh) and another new song, please check them out if you are into tech-metal...
We would like to personally thank you for being our friend and supporting us over the past five months of The Midnight Shows life.
We would like to invite you to come to our biggest show so far. We will be supporting My Awesome Compilation at Barfly Liverpool on the Thursday 22nd of May. Awww a dog ^^ I missed my dog when i was in birmingham for 6 months =[ Companionship *nods* Erm, i'm a broadcast engineer... Was there for news coverage In some american base, so everyone had to be asleep at like 10 But i did have a few drinks with some FBI people lol which was odd...
I'd hardly call Television an intellect destroyer - I mean there are plenty of documentaries, news programs and culture shows that keep viewers brains engaged and active - You've just got to sift through the wealth of bullshit
Why would you look forward to coming back down south?! lol Eeeerm, well i had to go help one of our engineers set up some equipment... Was ok, no bombs thankfuly... Loads of americans though
