About me:

Wellcome to my space! My name is Heidi Parviainen. I am a classical singer, a soubrette soprano. At the moment my main band is a metal band called Amberian Dawn. I started my "metal carrier" in Iconofear as a keyboard player in 1997 and played with them untill 2007 when I joined Amberian Dawn. I started taking classical singing lessons at the age of 14. I love singing old music, specially baroque music and doing classical performances from time to time. My dream is to make my own album with "fusion" of ambient, folk and old music one day and maybe have some kantele-playing on it too. I´m planning to built my own kantele (a harp) and learn to play it!!! Besides music I enjoy life, nature, animals and art. My great interests are different cultures, stories, folklore and myths. I like studying Finnish national epic Kalevala from where I also draw some themes to my lyrics. I enjoy writing poems and stories but at the moment I mostly write lyrics for Amberian Dawn. Besides my singing carrier with Amberian Dawn I am studying to be a Waldorf educator and a school teacher and I have a bachelor in social services. At the moment I also conduct two choirs and I enjoy it a lot. My spare time I spend with my loved ones, go out to the nature or the sea shore for a walk, relax at our summer cottage, go to sauna or do some sports. Artwork in this video is made by my favourite Finnish artist Joseph Alanen (1885-1920) who pictured Kalevala in a facinating way. In the picture is "Ilmatar".

    I never thanked you nor for the friendship here on MS, nor for the amazing show in Milan.
