Hey Falcone are a Brighton based five piece “Skank-Rock” band. Members Josh Bevan, Oli Dixon, Nick Harrison and Pete Rundle formed the band in October 2006 when they met at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music (B.I.M.M). In April 2007 guitarist Tom Martin joined to complete the line up, adding a new dimension to the bands live performance. Since their formation the band have enjoyed much success, supporting “trip-hoppers” Alabama Three and gaining a place on the 2007 B.I.M.M showcase album, “How to Mend a Broken Pier”. In the bands short existence they have managed to build a very strong local following, converting audiences with their highly entertaining live sets and hook filled songs which have been described as “lively, fun, bouncing music” with “depth, quality and variety”.
"The real whack of the night was Hey Falcone! I had heard them on their myspace page and I was quite excited about their performance. I wasn’t disappointed at all. They had such a friendly energy… everybody started jumping and got wild during their set. There was no pogo-dancing the way punk rockers do them, no punch, no kick, just people jumping and gathering shoulders against shoulders. Hey Falcone! Sounds a bit like Sublime. It’s the main feature I could take to describe their powerful sound. The solos are well-felt and put at good moments during the songs. I only wished they played a bit longer because you can’t possibly get enough, they are so good at having people jump."
"Strange Days - a track which illustrates the talents of Hey Falcone perfectly. Amazing energy alternating with slightly slower beats which allow you to catch your breath...momentarily, before being hit with the effortless delivery of rapid-fire lyrics. What more could you want?...Oh yeah - to see them live. They are even more impressive in the flesh."
