We have suffered through doomed crushes directed towards our colleagues: bass players. The first, was, perhaps, somewhat out of our league. Beautiful in every way excepting, of course, marital status. And, lo, Even that, in a way, was beautiful. Another was of a quirkier persuasion, and worked in an Irish bar. Oh, to hear her sing the blues. They were in bands called Jackie 3 and Kimagure Honey respectively. I suppose you could call them influences.
