Influences
a common love for Elliott Smith between members sprouted the band and it took off from there.
Sounds Like
sad people on their happy days, a helium balloon floating towards the clouds, a boy releasing a mended hawk into a forest, a rainy day at the fair, a windy day by the giant inflatable dancing men outside of car dealerships, a wintry walk through a human-sized labyrinth, that feeling of curling up with a good book under the college dorm's stairwell, the sound of thunder rumbling through the walls at night purring you asleep, the first time you made a mix cd for that certain someone, the first time you felt homesick and gave your folks a call, the films of Hayao Miyazaki, the crackling sounds of frozen trees thawing after an ice storm, the future as seen in elementary school educational videos, a game of cards at a local diner, the sense of familiarity you have when meeting a new outstanding person, some words, a guitar, rhythm, a few higher numbered chords, and a hummable melody.
Hey Hey Melodica began as an effort to bring Anthoney Scroggins' acoustic songs to a full band sound. He recruited a series of friends and musicians to flesh out his music, including David Petrison on guitar and Nathaniel Sparks on bass. The current line-up includes Jeffrey Geesa on drums and is currently working on new music and a new EP.

Hey guys, please dont forget to vote for us once a day till May 25 at www.cornerstonefestival.com/newbandshowcase/BionicMonks. We got in the running a month after voting started so we are definate underdogs. You moved us up 42 spots to 101 which is awesome. We need to get to the top 10 to get on one of the stages or 1 to be on the main stage with the Headliners. If we move 7 spots a day we are #1 and share the stage with "Head" formerly from Korn. Also check out the Anvil and the Hammer podcast preview on our sites. The podcast officially airs Monday May 11th You all Rock and we thank you....Monks
About this page: I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D

Thanks for the add. Take Note is a wake-up call for people in the entertainment business working in a smoke-filled environment. Did you know musicians have four times the rate of lung cancer? To learn about the movement and sign our petition, visit us at www.takenote.tv.
The joy and anticipation of joining you all for a night of music and frivolity has me practically beaming! Anticipate many hugs from a negligent friend who hasn't seen you in far too long!
