All good music from time immemorial until the present. With a special partiality for the Beatles, Paul Simon, and traditional folk music of many cultures.

You can draw your own conclusions. If you hear an influence or a similarity, you're probably right. We are all amalgamations of everything we've absorbed. And a little bit more...
JUDE ROBERTS has a unique ability to convey emotion to an audience. Chatty crowds fall silent when Jude hits his first note. His songs are gems of folk craft: melody and dynamic chord changes are front and center, lyrics are insightful and all of these aspects are brought to life by a voice that is strong, pure and clear.
A New York-born and raised singer, songwriter, and recording artist, Jude became involved in the local New York music scene after graduating from Purchase College (1997) where he majored in Studio Composition.
In 1999 he recorded several traditional period songs for “Crucible of Empire”, a Public Television documentary about the Spanish-American War which aired nationally that year.
Jude traveled to Los Angeles in 2001 to expand and explore new musical paths. He performed frequently at such venerable Southern California venues as The Abbott Kinney Festival, Venice Carnival, McCabe’s, Hotel Café, Molly Mallone’s, and Ghenghis Cohen. His work has received regular airplay on Pacifica Radio Station KPFK on “Folkscene”, one of the longest running folk shows in the US.
Jude is currently residing in his home region of New York’s Hudson Valley. He has shared bills with a number of noteworthy musicians, including Karan Casey (Solas), and most recently Dar Williams, with whom he also shared the stage. He has just released a full-length album, Stained Glass Afterglow.
The hallmarks of Jude’s work -unforgettable melodies, evocative lyrics, stunning vocals, and rock solid guitar playing- combine to create a unique and exciting find for acoustic and folk listeners everywhere.
Thank you for helping to make our evening delightful. We always enjoy hearing you perform.
Upon further reflection, I withdraw my request for more information about Amanda McRae - she lends much to the imagination, and everyone's is different.
I was mistaken earlier - I did receive a bulletin that you were playing tonight.
