::::HISTORY::::
Hey Taxi, the greatest band in the world, has quite an interesting history of how it came to be. Long ago, during the days of middle school, young Kyle Hendrix, founder of the band, started it off with 4 other fellow Fees students for a "No-Talent" Talent Show. They deftly won with their hit song, "Paradise", written in a car on the way to a birthday party.
Later that same evening, there was no name for the band that had just exploded onto the music scene. On the way home, Kyle saw a taxi depot on the side of the road and shouted, "Hey, Taxi!". Just like that, this legendary band had a name.
Kyle then went on to McClintock High School, and the band slowly drifted apart until Curtis Goldin joined. Kyle and Curtis rocked McClintock and made sweet, sweet sounds with their swirling guitar riffs and vocals, finally creating their first album, "Talent Show". Years later, while making their second album, "Simma", they asked Jon Scolaro to help out on a single track. After being shocked at his abilities, the two knew he had to be in the band.
Since then, they have added Pat Schrode on percussion and Trevor Paxton taking the reigns of Curtis' former spot in the band. A few years later, after helping on a few previous tracks, Hayley Brunetto was added to the lineup, playing saxophone.
After enjoying brief success playing a good amount of shows over the spring/summer of 2008, Hey Taxi went into hiatus. After about 9 months, the band, like a Phoenix, reemerged from the ashes to glory. The band now consists of Pat, Kyle, and Trevor. Recording of the 4th album is slated, but not yet commenced.
