Bass: The Movie (part 2)
About me: BASS: THE MOVIE is coming Summer 2009!
We shared a preview month on ESPN, but the full film we're working on right now!
HowardFilms is proud to present Bass: The Movie: An Amazing California road trip with World Record Holders, Pro bass anglers most secret places, and for the first time, conventional and fly rods on the same boat, with both anglers looking to match their skills in some of America's best bass waters.
HowardFilms has been been built on a lot of hard work to become one of the premiere sports film production companies in the world. Visit us anytime at www.HowardFilms.com
We are proud to have created some of the most popular short films to date on bonefishing (In Search of a Rising Tide) and tarpon fishing(the most acclaimed mini-series on tarpon fishing ever made - Chasing Silver) and it's sequel Location X. They were an out-of-body experience to make. (Can you say Advil at 4:30 AM? :-)
Our work is now on display in Dania Beach Florida at the IGFA Hall of Fame.
In time we will add more here on myspace for you!
For now, enjoy the links to a VERY talented group of artists and musicians from our films we have highlighted here for you - and check out our trailers at www.howardfilms.com!
**If you are an angling fanatic, film fan or a musician or film artist who would like to join our network on MySpace we'd be glad to include ya!

Who I'd like to meet:
(New project clue for those that are careful readers: CARP in the Rockies!)
IF YOU MADE IT HERE AND ARE STILL READING I'LL ANSWER A COUPLE QUESTIONS I'VE RECEIVED MORE THAN ONCE...HOPE THIS HELPS:
Q: What is the secret to a good outdoor film?
A: Filmmaking. Details. It is a pain in the ass, but if you study film techniques like plot, light, detail and composition something special may happen. Of course the fish have to show up - and that makes it all the more insane. Imagine waiting on an actor and not being able to shout action.
Q: What is the craziest thing that happened on a shoot?
A: It seems that NOTHING ever seems to go as planned. But we had one shoot where we had to drive hours to a news station, and talk the one guy in the building into lending us tape stock when ours was discovered gone and we had to shoot at dawn.
Q: Why not Stripers? Why not RedFish? Why Not?....
We can only do one fish a year usually and I spend a lot of time researching the day, date, guide and weather to increase the chance of some magic happening...Even then, it's a lot of shooting to get a little of what you want.
Q: What is my favorite fish?
Brown Trout in Montana. (Though a Tarpon on an uncrowded Keys day or secret Bahamian is close).
Q: Fisherman are hard to distract.
So, who is the one woman that would distract any fisherman?
A: As my dad says, they are all cute, some just cuter than others. For more than that, feel free to email me. ha!
If you have any more questions, feel free to post and I'll add 'em too....Tight lines and loose talk.
