MusicAnything old with guitars and mandolins. If it's about motorbikes, even better! This theme tune incidentally, was written and recorded with old motorbikes in mind and features a car boot sale Stylophone - not a mandolin, but a close 2nd!
Movies'The World's Fastest Indian' - It's about old motorbikes (surprise) rather than takeaway food! 'On any Sunday' is well worth a look too, if you're that way inclined. Ealing Comedies, Will Hay, Carry On, 'The Dish', 'King Creole'. Any animation I've worked on: Space Jam; Tales of Beatrix Potter; Lion King; FR07 (which was actually dreadful, but it paid the bills for a long time!). Loads and loads more...
TelevisionThe world's my telly!
BooksAnything with good pictures in.

   Hi-Artz 's Blurbs
About me:

I began printing learning about letterpress in 2002 and The Hi-Artz Press was set up in 2005 after I finished my MA at St Martin's College, part of which took me to Nashville to do an internship at Hatch Showprint. I'm into old records and old printed matter and old technology which reflects strongly in my work - not that I'm a Luddite - I just believe there's a lot to be learned by looking at what went before and applying it now. In the same way valve recording techniques have been revived in recent times, (coz it just sounds so good and it's the only real way to re-create it), I print stuff on my vintage presses using old type and blocks. I also carve my own illustration blocks or get them cast by a local craftsman. It looks great, but where it beats pixels, it feels great and smells great too! In 2006, I had work published in Le Gun issue 2 and Design Week magazines.

So far this year some of my work was purchased for the University of the Arts Collection.

My work has been commissioned for issue 2 of
HarrimanSteele's "Rubbish Mag".

Articles were published in University of Western England's Book Arts Newsletter no. 33 (page 6), viewable online at
www.bookarts.uwe.ac.uk.33.pdf

Spring/Summer 2007 University of the Arts, London, Alumni Newsletter (Back page and page 3)

An article I wrote about Alan Kitching's Retrospective Talk and Exhibition at St Bride's Library, publised in 'Small Printer' magazine, April and May.

A small selection of monoprint posters are on sale framed or unframed at:
Shelf, 40 Cheshire St, London E2 6EH

Ricky Lee Brawn, collaborated with me to produce the design for the new "Dingwall's Rock'n'Roll Club" tee-shirt for
DJ Mousie's legendary rockabilly party!

This summer, I shall be having my bunch of bananas on show in
St Bride Library, as part of "The Alternative Printer's Fist Exhibition" date tbc.

I am currently showing at at The Headstart Summer Exhibition, The Hat Factory, Bute st, Luton. August 9th - 22nd. Open 9.00 - 18.00, closed Sundays.

If you go to
http://www.lutontoday.co.uk/todays-choice?articleid=3102565 you can see a video interview/review of me and the show. I'm on third after two other exhibitors.

Ello H!,

my websites been out of action cos the name expired. and now someone else bought it so i'm trying to get it back, so its now, www.tomfuckingeastland.co.uk (instead of .com) if you could change that on your Hiartz site that would be wicked, i'm going to make another, so if i ever get the .com one back i'll use that for the second one, really appreciate it, hope i see you soon!

p.s Hows R? say ello!
