| General | At Hidden Creek farm we sell safe, quality horses for trail and show. We give lessons in English, Western, Gaited horses, Hunters, Jumpers, Dressage, and Recreation. We have Summer Residential Camps, Which are the best! We are part of an awesome program, Equine Experience, which helps people share their love with students all around! We are now selling hay, and Compost! And have a lot of other great programs in the works! www.hiddencreekva.com | | Music | I think that music is a great way for students to relax and think about less when learning to ride. I often have music playing while giving lessons! Next time when you are riding your horse and really working on something try listening to your MP3 player and watch how soon you and your horse learn what is at hand! | | Movies | I enjoy watching lots of horse movies . . . ok I'm lying! lol I'm actually really bad about not watching horse movies but I do have to say that enough students have gotten after me that I have seen all the big ones. The newest horse movie I watched was Ruffian, which is a horrible sad movie but amazing all at the same time. Also make sure you check out my personal favorite, the horse in the grey flannel suit! PS for those who might be coming to camp you get extra points if you have seen it . . . but you still have to watch it again lol | | Television | I really don't watch television shows about horses but that is only b/c dish no longer carries rfdtv and if you have dish and you get it let me now b/c I'm kicking some tv butt! | | Books | There are some amazing books out there about horses and most have been turned into movies so it's much easier just to watch them. only kidding, the Margaret Henry books where some of my mom's favorites! | | Heroes | There are many amazing horse people out there. But if I had to pick a hero for myself I would have to pick a man I have never meet. He was my mothers horse trained named Mac McHuge! He showed my mother how much horses can teach us in our lives and she passed that on to me. I love teaching a students a life lesson without them even knowing it. There were a lot of things in life I got to learn the easy way through his amazing words through my mothers eyes! |
