"A beautiful soothing seductive voice, the lo-fi d.i.y messy home-made production is spot on, the textures, the radiance, the shafts of sunlight. Dreamy tiny epics and radio hiss and gentle warmth and backward guitar and pastoral melodies and hazy summer warmth – Sea Nymphs and Flaming Lips and My Bloody Valantine and Guided By Voices and a delicate fragile lo-fo star touching Grandaddy – most of all Countryside are unique – music to absolutely fall in love with – Countrysideland..."

Bloody Tourists

Aug 15 2007 2:48 AM

Good Morning

We are Bloody Tourists, a three piece rock n roll band from Bath, and we were crawling through the cluttered grime that is myspace in search of potential fans.

We have come across you from The Kick Inside's profile as we are playing with them this Saturday at the Porter Butt, Bath (hope you can make it).

We have been compared to the LIbertines and the Pixies as well as The White Stripes, so if you like any of these bands it is worth a listen.

If you like us you can subscribe to our newsletter where you'll be entitled to loads of inside goss and freebies. (just send us your email address).

You can listen to our album at www.bloodytourists.co.uk.

Also, if you're on facebook why not add us:

The Bobby McGee's have been wowing audiences up and down the country with their exhilarating and wildly original live shows, packed with songs about Star Wars, jeans, Paris, bands from Brighton, falling in love, falling out of love, falling back in love again, and everything in between.
www.myspace.com/thebobbymcgees

And now the hugely-anticipated first release by Brighton's finest purveyors of antifolk will be released on Cherryade next month! 'The Bobby McGee's? Yes Please!' is a 7" EP featuring six of the band's most popular songs, from the blistering tweecore punch of 'Molly's Lips' and the sultry Francophile ode 'Albert Camus / Audrey Tautou' to the duo's much-loved Radio One favourite 'Ivor Cutler Is Dead.' Shortly to be available on shiny pink vinyl, 'The Bobby McGee's? Yes Please!' is gearing up to be a much sought-after record. Tracklisting is:
1. Ivor Cutler Is Dead
2. Molly's Lips
3. Genki Sudo By Flying Triangle
4. Albert Camus / Audrey Tautou
5. Billy & Tracey
6. Morrissey Said To Tori

'The Bobby McGee's? Yes Please!' is released on July 10th 2006, and is available to pre-order now from the Cherryade website:
www.cherryademusic.co.uk/buybmyp.html.

You can also download an interview Cherryade recorded with the band on Valentines Day, and check out what it is exactly those song titles mean, at the Bobby McGees artists page on the website: www.cherryademusic.co.uk/artistsbm.html.
