HIFIDELIC has released 2 albums to date:
"Burning In Color" (2001) and "Magic Summer Days" (2007)
Both CD's and MP3's available at CD Baby. To veiw click on links below:
Hifidelic is a 6-piece band playing a hot blend of jazzy pop/rock/funk. Initially a group of session players formed in 2006 to record and support Timothy James' new CD "Magic Summer Days", Hifidelic is currently assembling a bunch of new tunes for their next album. You can hear some of these songs in their LIVE shows if you have the opportunity. "Burning In Color", the first Hifidelic album was released in 2001, and is a collection of work by Producer and Songwriter Timothy James. "Burning In Color" is in part a techno "trip" through electronic pop and acid jazz.
Hifidelic has teamed with Illumina Records and is featured on the compilation CD "Burlington Rockers for Life" (2007)
Hey timothy. It's your friends Seecret Level. We're back from hibernation(recording the new cd:), so we just wanted to stop by and say hello. hope all is well.
Timothy, Thanks for the request, and for being you! You guys sound good. Some of those songs sound vaguely familiar for some reason. :) Time to practice before gig time. Have a great 2008! Rob Waxman
The first review of "Magic Summer Days" is in......and it's delightfully positive !!!.....the reviewer "gets it" !! ....... The songs and the concept ! ....... Here are some excerpts:
"There isn't a cut on the record that lacks groovy, psychedelic charm" .... "It just means that sunny California lounge-rock is alive and well in the cold Northeast. And we should be happy about that. Obnoxiously happy."
"I really dig the Bay Area transplant's new disc"
"Gloriously cheesy. Triumphantly cheesy. It’s Hall and Oates cheesy. But goddamn it if it isn’t good."
"There are moments of Steely Dan-esque rockin'. And there are some nifty dual guitar licks that hint at more sinister motives. But most of the disc is as sunny and hepcat-cool as the title suggests."
Hey Folks! I really enjoyed the show at Nectar's last night. Those last 3 songs really go well together, and ending with that ripping guitar jam! If you haven't seen them play out, you must check them on one of the next 2 mondays @ Nectar's. Don't Miss It! -EG
