---------------------------------------Hajduk (HighDuke) Don Fakaraun is a character that came into creation out of the various neurotic tendencies as well as the strange circumstances surrounding my life for the past few years. I was born to Serbian parents in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina (then former Yugoslavia) in 1982. Civil-war in my country forced my family to emigrate to Ottawa, Canada in 1994. When HighDuke's not busy fucking shit up, drinking, yelling, and invading people's private space with obnoxious behaviour, he likes to calm the fuck down and take on another one of his multiple personalities. During those moments, I somehow managed to obtain a Bachelor of Engineering (major: Engineering Physics) from Carleton University in April of this year (2006). HighDuke is also affiliated with 3 different crews for which he produces and MC's: 1. Ottawa based "Vicious Visions" (including Mestup MC, DieLoot, and Lits Gunther) 2. "Babble Goons" (including Scribe from Hamilton) 3. "The Committee" (Serbian hiphop crew including Scribe, Mailman, TriG, and B.P.). I joined the Serbian label Carski Rez (Caesarian Cut) along with Scribe under the furious duo Babble Goons. The name HighDuke is of significant meaning and bears its origins in the Serbian word Hajduk. The Hajduks were 18th and 19th century guerilla fighter bandits who fought their Ottoman opressors as well as preying on local merchants and travellers. Hajduks followed a strict moral code which forbade senseless murder and the robbing of the poor.
