If the name is any indication, High Hopes' Brendon Exum has the kind of heart that only a town like Merced could give a beat to. He layers poignant lyrics tempered by his experiences in the Central Valley and his (oh God, quote unquote) High Hopes for life, love, and the world over bright ukulele melodies, supported by the occasional bassy/dancy drum machine beat.
