High In The 80's started out as a cover band playing the best in 80's music. Now, after hard work, dedication and love for music they have created some original hits of their own. The band quickly knew they had an edge to their music often being compared to sounds like Van Halen, AC-DC and Green Day. In just a short period of time, High In The 80's has grown from playing small private parties to crowds of over 2,000 people. A popularity vote on www.979cprrocks landed them a spot at The 2008 Biloxi Crawfish Festival. Out of 17 bands, High In THe 80's placed 5th. Recently, their music video "This Was My Life" has been played on FOX 25 and has had over 4,000 views online in a months time. May the 14th the bands will have the honor of playing before Former President Jimmy Carter, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, and many state officials. Hey I just wanted to let you guys know that you won't hear from me for about 3 weeks. I am leaving for Europe tomorrow morning!! My parents were getting aggravated at me because they had to wait on me to download y'alls music on my iPod. I just couldn't go 3 weeks w/o hearing my favorite band! Well, I'll miss y'all!
